As long as there is no sugar in it, because it's a sin to me.
And of course, no instant coffee.

Many places brew coffee with cinnamon here in Mexico. I will some times break 1/2 a stick and brew it with the morning cuppa

Singapore-Kopi-Coffee-Museum-5.jpg

The best coffee I've had, bar none, was in Singapore. Apparently they have a long entrenched culture of coffee there, and it shows in what you feel on your tongue when it lights up the taste buds.

Called "kopi", it's traditionally prepared with Indonesian beans that are roasted on the spot. The kopi master repeatedly pours the brew in a long stream through the air, from vessel to vessel, before it's combined with sweet condensed milk. I'll tell you what, this "kopi" in Singapore, just like the food there, is so good it'll bring a broad smile to your face and tears to your eyes.

Here's a YouTube about it and a couple of links.

A quiz: why do the us marines call black coffee 'november juliet'?

I was in hope that such a poetic sounding name would have a poetic explanation. I googled it. You don't want to know.

good coffee and they strongly support bike racing

also there have been a few good articles about Stumptown, which I drink 5 times a week. In Africa in order to get better prices and many other benefits, in a few countries coffee farmer coops have been growing . It has been suggested that companies like Stumptown may have a problem with this because they and some of their customer base want to know the coffee's source from planting to perking. Combining a whole bunch of ethically farmed beans may not be good enough, wait and see kind of thing.

This is reallly interesting! It sounds delicious. Will have to check it out when I'm passing through Singapore in the future.

I like Vietnamese coffee too...killer stuff but it is pretty intense.

This morning I drank Italian beans at my local joint

mmm coffee

I like to make espresso mostly. I use a Rancilio Silvia, which I'm excited about upgrading with a PID temperature controller soon.

Some of my favorite local roasters are:

Jones Coffee

Coffee Klatch
I heard that they roast the coffee for http://www.53x11coffee.com/ but I'm not sure that's true.

Intelgentsia

Apparently Handsome roasters in LA is really good too, but I haven't been able to try them yet. They're run by an ex-intelligentsia guy I think.

Probably my favorite (partly because it's run by a friend) is Ozo Coffee in Boulder, Co
I'm drinking their espresso 2012 this week.

Then you know what great coffee tastes like! Lucky for me they have on-line sales now, so I can easily get Ozo outside of Boulder. :)
