What's the usual penalty for taking food? Just follow the rules and give him that. I don't see it as a big deal really, so he took some food, so what? Not like it gave him a big advantage over everyone else.

In the Giro Rosa/ Femal Giro D'Italia a woman got dq'ed for doing it:eek:

I'm gonna be biased as I'm from London, and say he should just be fined money.

Interview on Eurosport Saying that the Sky team car had a mechanical and was not with the group at the bottom of the climb...

so? I'm sure the team car was back long before 5 km for the finish when eh took the food

Yeh, but he means that Froome couldn't have gotten at the allowed time at the base of the climb because the car wasn't there, so he had to get now.

Isn't 20 seconds what Mollema got earlier in the season for a similar offence? Seems that the precedent exists & anything more than 20 seconds would be harsh in that context.

If not the precedent I think the penalty should be at least a 1 minute penalty.
