The evidence based process was offered to LA. He refused to participate and as it is not a criminal court he cannot be made. He wants people to believe it didnt happen but wont participate when evidence is to be made public in a hearing, which he has proved before by not taking cases against many news agencies who he believed actually had real evidence and refused to sue but did go on tv to give his side....ie why not sue

The problem is ... he isn't. Livestrong and the LAF are all about "awareness".

TBH, they do some good helping people get access to support services, especially the Hispanic community (so I understand). And it must be difficult, with the huge sums of money going into cancer prevention / treatment, how a relatively small charity can get in on the act. But any nonsense about LA / LAF / Livestrong working to find a cure are just that - nonsense.

What you don't seem to get is that USADA's case is about preventing future dopers.

What have we learned since EPO hit the scene in 1991?

1. Well-funded dopers are nearly impossible to catch in the short term. Guys like Michele Ferrari get rich figuring out how to cheat. Armstrong gets rich cheating. Nobody gets rich from anti-doping. All the money and doping talent is on the cheating side. The cheating side always wins in the short term.

Therefore, the anti-dopers must rely on other tools.

2. Frozen samples along with extended satute-of-limitations to let anti-dopers catch up.

3. Make an example out of doping's most organized, well-funded, well-protected and well-rewarded rider/team owner, Armstrong.

The only way to strip the incentive out of doping is to let today's dopers know they will never get away with it. In the case of doping, if justice doesn't have a long arm, there will be no justice at all.

I was speaking with the wife who finally had a close conversation with an old friend about this entire subject. She was disappointed to know what we suspected was true and probably much worse than expected. She is level-headed and now informed. If you wait for Merckx (who is not Jesus, Lance has convinced himself and everyone that lives in the room with him that he is) you will die uninformed.
I still race and love it. The circle is now closed.
