Horner is a victim of the arms race started by sky.

Yeah, it was definitely Sky! All Sky's fault. Cycling would be a beautiful clean utopia of cleanliness if it wasn't for Team Sky.*

*May contain ridiculous amounts of sarcasm. Will definitely offend rabid fanboys.

Go after those guys who lie thru their teath and look to impale victims along the way with their hypocrisy. see little of this from horner or ricco. And Basso et al are successfully rehabilitated. something does not give

I mean you know CH interviews (it´s not doping if no positive), you know his chasing down of GH, and you know how absurd his performances are the last couple of years... and then he comes up with "the speech" after the Vuelta.
If you hate all those dopers, liars & hypocrites out there, what´s your real reason to like CH? Is it b/c deep down inside you hope he is clean, and thus a legit champ? This must be the reason, b/c otherwise he qualifies greatly for the doper/liar/hypocrite group...

I definitely dont think Chris is clean.

I think he might take peril's with his health. But the new strength and growth androgens, with some oxygen vector technique, means a 42 yo can win a GT. Perhaps Horner could not win if everyone in the field was similarly prepared, and he did not bring that competitive advantage to the table.

Nah, he is doped. But he is entertaining. Pre: these last 5 years, when he was just a worker, and pinched a TdSuisse stage to make his TdF debut.

I think his recent doping antics have cost the sport one of the best never-to-be directeur sportifs. He woulda been a master

So we agree... But then why you like him. I mean I guess you are not a fanboy like I am of Ullrich ;) (or "The septic" is of CH) whom I like even tough he was doping trou-out his pro career.

So we agree again... Wonder why the fighting went on between us in the past couple of months when we are on the same page more often than not.

So were the battles of Rijs, Ullrich vs LA, and what else... So it´s still a little mystery to me that you like CH of all. I mean there are more charismatic doped riders out there

Horner is old? wow didnt know that.

Horner is entertaining, who cares if he is doping. Cycling is a joke now anyway. Might as well go full *** and teach the skyborgs a lesson. I cant wait to see what Horner can do against little Richie or Dawg.

You misinterpreted my post (intentionally? ;))

Just brought up a gay photo, b/c it seems to be "in", as the gay jokes started to take place in the Froome thread
I tried to hold up a mirror to the anti-Sky fanatics, who seem to run out of topics.....

If that's your attitude towards Horner don't decry suspicious performance from Sky then.

How dodgy is Copeland?

http://www.cyclingnews.com/news/lampre-merida-appoints-brent-copeland-as-team-manager

Lampre-Merida said Copeland will be “responsible for the management and organization of the team, both the staff and riders working in close contact with the sport directors for the sporting area, the medical staff and responsible for the training, logistics and race program.”

Copeland was a full-time and part-time directeur sportif with Lampre between 1999 and 2009 before working with MotoGP pilot Ben Spies for three years. He returned to cycling as European manager of the MTN-Qhubeka team for 2013, helping the South African step up to the Professional Continental ranks this year but left after disagreements about the management of the team.

Giuseppe Saronni will stay with the team “focusing on the research and management of financial backers, sponsors and partners for the team.”

Immediate start

Copeland will begin his new role immediately, working with head coach Michele Bartoli and the technical staff to plan and prepare for the 2014 season.

“The request of taking on the role of team manager makes me proud: Lampre has always been my Italian family, they welcomed me fifteen years ago, there has always been a special bond with the blue-fuchsia colors,” Copeland said in a statement from the team.

“The decision to accept this responsibility was easy, even if it was not based only on sentimental reasons. In fact, I appreciate being asked to be involved in the internationalization and the evolution of the team, an evolution which works towards finding the perfect balance of professionalism and organisation in the modern world of cycling. I’m ready and determined to help this transition and I know I can rely on a group of excellent people that are professional in each one of their areas of excellence.”

“This will be a team effort starting from a good level of ability and experience, so we can broaden our international dimension and also ensure that young riders are a fundamental resource for our future”

Either a puppet for Saronni or someone whose views are identical.

No, Horner is the good doper, and Sky are the bad ones who started the fire. His funny logic.
You know he didn´t start doping until his ToC win, when Sky dominated that race. Oh well, they did not line up there, nor was they dominating anything that time...
Anyway, fanboy logic is always far from reality.

Couldn´t be better than riding in Italy. They don´t even go soft with their heroes (like Pantani). And they actually brought Valv-Piti down.

So if ever, the giro is the golden chance to bring this clown down...

Or: He´s afraid and thus will have zilch influence in the outcome of the giro.
