Boxing i never count as sport. Corrupted rankings to prevent fighter xy to get a championship fight, fixed outcomes en masse, 5 different associations with 20+ fighting classes (actually there must be around 100 current "world champions", what a joke), at best doubtful doping controls, and so on...

P.S.: And even if we block out my above mentioned points (which lead to bogus results), the above mentioned boxers showed their talent early. Something completely missing with Horner.

The excusers have to face and accept the truth: Horners performance is unprecedented in the history of sports. And if there was something grotesque as his performance, those were caught (Michelle Smith comes to mind).

No! The grandpa didn´t rule anything when on the european cycling circuit. He had plenty of chances to show his DSes his potential as a GT-Rider... Nothing until age 38, no matter how the excusers try to twist reality.

when Horner was younger European cycling was totally ruled by doping, so if he did show his potential as a GT winner that would strongly suggest doping. Kind of a catch 22 isn't it?

Not that I'm trying to argue that he's clean, but his career arc actually did follow that of a rider who didn't want to dope --- called up to the big leagues from 97-99 but underperformed (due to the advanced level of epo abuse from that era?).

Yeah he sounds like you do on any Sky thread

Yeah, all this hypocrisy... May b/c Horner is from the US?
AFIR, Moose praised the grandpa in the RR-Thread like a childish fanboy. There is no credibility left for those who hack away on Sky/Froome, but the same time defend the most obvious doper since LA.

... so on the US circuit no one was doping?...

All the twists of reality and attempted explanations for grandpas late coming out are not logical...

... if it smells doping, it normally is. And Horners story stinks like hell.

Your hypocrisy is only exceeded by your lack of self awareness.

Do the math.

At the end of a career, the reward is well worth the risk.

And the undying ignorance of doping on Astana is so credible.

Foxxy, what's your opinion of Jens Voigt's performances this year and in recent years? Do you think Jens dopes?

I think Di Luca was more obvious this year.

Then again at that level it's hard to be more obvious than the other.

Which is why your atomic jockstrap sniffing of Froome is all the more bizarre.

I think for the year, Sayer takes the crown...well, except for Froome. Being newly British and all, crowns are kind of their whole shtick.

Santambrogio is a good contender as well

Edit: Today they climbed Peyresourde as fast as Contador and Chicken, there must be some sort of huge tailwind

There was strong headwind, you can see the video again, today there was tail wind all the stage except Bales (crosswind) and the last smal climb (headwind)

I dont remember the wind when Contador, I will see again that stage, but Contador was young and the did some stops and accelerations.

There was virtually no wind during 2007 IIRC, and they put only 40 seconds against guys like Evans, Sastre, Klödi, Valverde in just 4.5 minutes. But in these days, new cycling guys can match these full *** doping fellas while riding completely clean

I think it was a relatively sedate pace up to that point in 2007.

But whatever, I am not going to rewatch that freak show to check whether I was right.

It was. Phil was *****ing that no one was attacking the Chicken while Vino was scampering up off the sword to get popped at the end.

Better check the map, and wind direction information, and twitter before coming to any type of decision on that...and check it in with the Brits first as they are the experts on wind direction.

maybe there are some tweets about the wind direction from someone in the autobus that day that we can find and use as definitive fact?

Michael Rasmussen on Danish tv today

'I don't think Horner is doping now, anymore than he used to do"

Ha

The larger question I have is what is he doing? Certainly HGh and Test can help an older rider but we all know oxygen vector doping is where it is at. He has been in the US for months. Only went to Spain 3 days before the race. If he is transfusing how does he get the blood bags to Spain? It is not as simple as people think. You need extract 3-4 weeks prior, transfer and store them correctly. We have all read stories about blood doping, none involved transatlantic transport.....well, except maybe Lance on his private jet

If he slammed a bag right after Utah, using the "I was at altitude" defense for the raise in HCT, how does he do so well entering the 3rd week. With the exception of a bad TT he has not lost a step.
