Uh, neither you or Mr Armstrong is important enough to me to warrant such a bet. I will keep posting here regardless because unlike you, I have been discussing cycling for quite some time.

The "oh you are a chicken" is quite funny actually. This is the interwebs, and not the real world. If it were I would make the bet much more interesting.

Now, I honestly don't care that much whether or not he wins because they will all dope to do so. I will not wish for his success, but if it happens, I will just chalk it up to what it really was, a very talented athlete who also used PED's to win another race. Nothing new or different there, huh?

Again, I recognize that very likely Mr Armstrong could have won without drugs if everyone else was also not drugged. My bone of contention with him has always been that he systematically and ruthlessly tries to ruin the lives of people who offer any opposition to his propaganda or tell the truth about what they know of him and or his associations. That's it for me.

Lastly, you are just another fanboy who will be around here for awhile anyway. All you fanboys are seasonal. This forum ain't my first rodeo, and in the 3 years that I have posted on cycling forums, I have seen many, many like you. You only think you are special and have something new and different to say. Why should I find you special enough to make a bet with in the first place? There have been hundreds like you, and quite honestly, some of them were much more informed and challenging than are you. Stick to living on the edge, because that makes you "special." Anyone with a location that says what yours does is merely a clueless joke who breathes air.

Toodles.

Like I thought. Minds on vacation, mouth talking overtime.

No balls!

LoL at all the wanna-be PhD physiologists here.

No wonder I was warned to stay away from these forums. The Lance haters all sound like a bunch of jealous cry-babies who are just mad at life.

At least try and not sound stupid, m'kay?

Saying Lance doped because of the testimony of some has-not-been and supposed test results from a sample that's been sitting around for years is hardly "evidence".

Show me the video footage that proves that the sample hasn't been tampered with. Give me an audio recording of Lance making incriminating statements. Show me a current positive test result of the 30+ he's already took this year.

Oh, that's right, there isn't any evidence. Only hearsay and non-confirmatory data.

All you morons running your mouth need to shut the hell up. Until a genius comes along who has studied Lance Armstrong's physiology and tells us that there is no way he could perform the way he does without performance enhancers, STOP TALKING.

Are you all frenchies or something? Even more LOL. "Hey, let's spend our entire day worrying about cycling, despite the fact that our country is about to get steamed rolled by a certain faction of immigrants."

Yeah, you guys rule. NOT.

You should have listened to your friends.

You never did graduate college, did you? Well, I don't forgive you. You would likely be a moron even if you did go to college.

You are implying that because I haven't been wasting my life away on an internet forum for as long as you have, that somehow I'm not in the "cool club"? ROFL.

Here's a thought. Why don't you try writing a post that actually contains a well thought out message rather that dishing out some weak un-substantiated pathetic attack on Armstrong.

So what was your substantiated contribution to the discussion?

Why did the people at the university let a *** like this guy in at all. Maybe they gave him a PhD to keep his hopes about dying of Brain failure. you cannot deny their is a lot of evidence against armstrong. I am not a lance hater and do realise the great amounts of good he is done for the community. I am not saying he is a doper or is clean but you must aknowledge that the evidence against him has piled up over the years.

Somebody's got to clean the campus.;)

To quote our latest...erm...academic:-

"Oh, that's right, there isn't any evidence. Only hearsay and non-confirmatory data."

From a much more humorous collegiate source:-

CREATIVE WRITING CONTEST WINNER: LANCE ARMSTRONG AT THE GIRO

Lance Armstrong waited. The gears below him clicked and whirred into place. There were losers in the race. He didn't see them, but had expected them now for years. His warnings to Johon Bruneal were not listenend to and now it was too late. Far too late for now, anyway.
Lance was a pro cyclist for seventeen years. When he was young he watched the tour de France and he said to dad "I want to be on the bikes daddy."
Dad said "No! You will BE DEFEAT BY LOSERS"
There was a time when he believed him. Then as he got oldered he stopped. But now in the blockhous stage of giro Italy he knew there were losers.
"This is Johon" the radio crackered. "You must beat the losers!"
So Lance gotted his livestrong trek and pedaled very hard.
"HE GOING TO DEFEAT US" said the losers
"I will attack at him" said the Pelozziti and he jumped away from the pelleton. Lance countered at him and tried to blew him up. But then the road steepened and he were slowed and not able to pedal.
"No! I must defeat the losers" he shouted
The radio said "No, Lance. You are the losers"
And then Lance was a Leipheimer.

Why are patriotic jackasses like you following international cycling in the first place? Don't they have other sports better suited to your interests?

Great, another three-week poster arrives.

I wouldn't say having Horner left off the Tour team put any bigger dent in Lance's aspirations than Noval being left off did to Contador.

As to Lance being an "underdog", right now he's the second most likely bet according to this site of cumulative oddsmakers.

Just a side note i spoke with a rider I used to train in Spain who is a friend of Contador he said he spoke with Alberto who said he is strong enough to win the tour by himself if he needs to.

That's good to hear, whether you're a fan of his or not. I have this feeling he's going to try to blitz Stage 1. But regardless if he wins that or not, on Stage 7 he's going to leave everything he's got on the road and attack like he never has before in his life in an attempt to crush everyone, including Armstrong, and put all doubts and questions to rest.

I think you are spot on. Reading Contador's interview from the other day, he has made it clear whatever number he gets (1 or 3), or whatever Bruyneel says to the press, he's going to earn his leadership. Frankly, I think Lance has seen him up close the last couple of days and he knows that Contador isn't going to go quietly into that goodnight.

My feeling about a likely scenario:

1) A. Schleck will go for the long bomb (from far out), given his Liege performance, etc. The only way he can win the GC (unlikely).

2) Contador will tail him immediately, knowing this is his chance to blow Lance off the road definitively.

3) Lance will try to follow, but will blow up when Contador starts to counter-attack A. Schleck (searing accelerations).

It's obvious what Schleck has to do. Contador has to be thinking this, esp. as the reliability/loyalty of his team/car is possibly compromised.

NB: Menchov is the wild card here, though. LOL :D

Depending on what happens tomorrow, he could be the Joker.

Actually, he has come out and said he was pro even said he finished 8th in the Nevada classic...I found this post on another thread;

"No I didn't do epo, at the time when i was riding epo had alot of health concerns and I had just started a family had I known before hand that it wouldn't have affected my health and make me lots of money, I would've strongly thought about it, but I wasn't that good to turn into a levi or a Bauer, I was a support rider and a good ITT rider but I wasn't going to ride at the tour, funny story I got an offer from Postal in 1996 but my team was better so I stuck with them, little did I know. Basically If I had the potential to be great I would have done it at that time."

This guy would never take a bet like that. Then he would have to re-register and start his almighty post count over again. That post count is his ammo. thats all he's got. He would never want to lose it.
