Who Do YOU think would be the best mod?

And again, I understand that some, like Amsterhammer, would not want the slot. But that is not the question. I'd like to find out who would have the most respect if they WERE a mod. I knew going into this that Amster would turn it down if offered, but I still think he is a valid name, 'coz I'm not asking if he is interested. I'm asking the rest of yez if ya think he - or anyone else - would be a good mod.

Some of the answers I see I know are not serious - except as trolling. But keep bringing the thoughts and names. We'll give it a few pages to develop. I'd like to see some input from quieter members.

Nobody has mentioned Aussie Goddess - but she gets a lot of respect, yes? Or Mew? Including a female pov is good for managing groups - proven success formula.

I think respect vs best is a somewhat different question. You original question involved best. I listed some I think can drive the forum in the right direction. The list of posters I respect is much longer: Hitch, LS, Hotha, Dr Mas, Mew, Sefla, GTF, RR, Skidmark and many more. All will be able to do a solid job as Mod.

How about this definition: someone you would respect enough to accept their decisions as mod. Remember, they get the bannination hammer!

I'm not worried about ppl nominating friends - since once you have a lot of people casting votes - the friend biz should cancel itself out for the most part. Imo.

Every once in a while we must have these thinly-veiled popularity contests.

Usually it boils down to 3 or 4 posters that everyone can agree are top-notch.

Thing is though: do you really want the posters you most respect to become mod? It might end up ruining them for you.

I think those three or four top-notch posters should not become mods and stay what they are: top-notch posters

FOXXY I WAS THINKING OF YOU OR RACE RADIO. You could both close the normal forum and it could all be the clinic.

And NO I would not close the clinic. It serves a good purpose too. I might agree I would be heavy handed with unsubstantiated accusations. but it isn't the discussion that bothers me is is the general negativity and insistence that every rider is doping and that many of the regulars there love to say x or y is a doper without any public accusation say by a reporter or a doping offence. It is a great place to discuss these Positives, to talk about doping methods. the history of the issue.

It's a hell of a lot of work to do well, and basically you'd have to be unemployed to do it right. I'll go out on a limb and say the unemployment line isn't the best pool to be drawing from.
