Right, don't be naughty, folks.

But the thing is, Armstrong ate tons of cake to win those Tours, and so did Contador. Bruyneel's teams are all about the vanilla cream and the piping bag. You just have to take a look at the difference between 2009 and 2010 - in 2009 Contador was all about chocolate toppings and syrup, even though ironically he only got a bit of a fat roll in 2010 (presumably due to the famous Bruyneel metabolism). I wager Andy is getting worse every year due to a lack of proper training, so who's to say Contador would still have won in 2009 while eating the same cinnamon cakes he ate in 2010?

The real sign of a collapse will be a lack of a Tour podium and the trade/transfer start date. If there is no podium and the transfers are worse than when they left Riis, its a sinking ship full of gold coins. Makes me wonder if they'll request a transfer even if they (the original Lepoard crew) still have a contract lingering with the Shack.

Agreed the team ownership is shaky. Tis early to call on the sonsorship, but it could very well be. Cancellara will return for the Suisse and collect the Prologue and the ITT. Probably another stage win there as well. As far as team rankings, they are well above AG2R. Cancellara is still a top tear rider and is resposable for most of the team's standings. Horner placed well, with the aid of Cancellara, at TA.

Cancellara is can still score, Andy Schleck will win at least one mountain stage in TdF. I still say Horner would be better in the Vuelta.

Relax and enjoy the Cali for what it is. lol:D

A few years should be clearly read as since yesterday. :p

There's also Planche des Belles Filles with 3k at about 9-10%. Evans and Menchov hate steep continual sections and Wiggins is doomed to lose a lot. Stage 3 also includes some finish hill. Wiggins will lose ground there as well. Although, in my view, the win will be in the bag even before Peyragudes.

How well did Shleck go on the Mur De Bretagne last year though ( apparently raced easily )???

Yes Evans will:D

Also i don't think i will take the same relish as last year Evans beating Shleck as Evans will most likely ( if he comes 1st ) have Wiggins in between him.

I honestly don't hate the Shlecks at all like some on here. There are lots of other pro riders who make the season interesting and this year the TDF might have been boring without Contador ( at least Andy can do something ).

This year there has been Bonnen, Inglinsky, Gasparotto, Wiggins, Greipel ( if only because he could be peaking to own at the TDF like at the TDU/ a few other stages ) Sagan, Gerrans, JROD and of course Cav ( for the last 150m of every sprint he contests ).

RSNT is an epic team, great riders, great management great fans.
I think that as much as I like Horner, he is a long shot, same goes for Andy.

To bad, great riders, great personalitys.

Cancellara has had bad luck, but thats bike racing, no excuses.

Separating Frank and Andy and Kim is a bad idea. Hopefully Johann will come to his senses, on that issue.

Gambling everything on the tour is risky.

Hopefully, Cancellera takes gold n the worlds and olympics.

Good things happen with positive outlook and hard work.

Epic fail today. These guys can't even win their home race. Foolish riding by Horner today. What was he thinking? Are they now are Continental team looking for TV time?

Any classic quotes form P&P about race domination?

I assume you can read the story so you might pick up a quote or two before pulling back your bow and releasing the arrow, but Horner said he did not want to sit back and try to win the stage. He probably would have had company and lost a sprint anyway. Your bad. You can't see how epic a try that was.

There was no field left, just those for the grupetto.

Apparently he had a top tier Tour contender with him for most of his epic ride? Who manged to ride on and dropped Horner!

Even Gesink on one leg caught him!

Methinks the white lunch bags didn't get through customs.

I enjoy it. Lance is gone but his ghost is very much present indeed, embodied by RSNT and the muppet bros who copy his approach. This old aphorism is more than spot on:

Men make their own history, but they do not make it as they please; they do not make it under self-selected circumstances, but under circumstances existing already, given and transmitted from the past. The tradition of all dead generations weighs like a nightmare on the brains of the living.

In other words, if cycling's gonna clean up its act, then Johan and the other cronies must be defeated not once but twice.

Your hatred is blinding you. I am certainly no fan of RSNT, but that was a great ride by the Shack crew today. Many, many kudos to Horner for his valiant effort.

Today's stage was one where you should sit out if you are criticizing them.

Yesterday's ride was truly something impressive, by RSNT it takes a lot of guts and determination to put yourself out there and go for the win in a whole day break when you could very well challenge for the win by wheelsucking through the peloton and then poking your head out at the last 2km or so.

That Horner and indeed RSNT didnt do so, showed they had a real desire to go for the overall win and that it really meant a lot even though they could have sat back and had a much easier ride for the stage.

That truly epitomises this sport and all the people who criticise teams like RSNT for being lax, tour focused, money driven etc Just have to look at yesterday's stage to show what it really meant for them.

Of course this particular race perfomance was motivated partially by sponsorship and the like, but racing all out to that degree all for the win was not something which can possibly be motivated solely by sponsors.

They failed but at least they tried ... in most other races so far this season they were virtually non-existent. But you can still see two big problems, 1) they still lack form and fitness to compete for wins and 2) their best riders are still Voigt and Horner

I'm starting to fear that RadioShack will actually win the Tour this year... they've screwed up in almost every race so far, it will all come together sometime and I'm afraid it's in the Tour.

I just don't know who will be the guy to do it.

What? This is the 'dis RadioShack thread is it not?

The effort was good but the French do this day in and day out at the Tour. When do they get kudos?

The idea also is to at least win the stage. He had an unknown Colimbian guy with him so he can't have been all that good. The unknown Columbian managed to keep going.

And where was Bruyneel to watch his riders on the queen stage?

Bruyneel abandoned and apparently went to the Giro to go for the podium ;)
