I don't smoke. I don't see the point in inhaling smoke for nothing- you only get addicted to it after you've smoked a few. I really don't get it. Is there anyone that liked the taste of his first cigarette? Why would you continue after that? To fit in a group?

Nobody gets addicted to nothing.

...the anti-smoking lobby is apparently no different than the climate change lobby...its the leading edge of the liberal totalitarian state...

...you will find articles in the link below that show smoking is actually good for you...

I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you're just having a bit of fun here, trying to bait people. Based on your posting history, I can't believe you could possibly be this stupid. Right?

...well truth be known I am that stupid but here is the back story...you see I've been hanging with SoCal on the General Politics thread and long story short he has, thru the overwhelming power of his awesome intellect, made me a convert to his point of view...he has in essence become my guru...

...now one of the things that convinced me to drop my evil socialist ways and embrace all things libertarian, Ron Paul and Ayn Rand was an introduction to the works of Richard Lindzen, a M.I.T. professor who is in the forefront of the fight against the liberal cabal that is promoting the climate change hoax...as I read his brilliant work I ran across reference to his Congressional testimony on behalf of the tobacco lobby...while initially sceptical Dr. Lindzen's testimony convinced me that there is absolutely no connection between lung cancer and tobacco and given that as the article I posted earlier shows that smoking actually has health benefits, it became a no-brainer to start smoking....and you know it has been just great...I smoke special organic cigarettes and they are just wonderful, especially before long rides and especially before races...they open your lungs and your performance really improves...I just hope they they don't become a banned substance, because to tell the truth, I don't think I could race without them...heck I've taken almost 3 minutes off my 15 km TT results and am winning races left right and centre...

...you really should try it...it will change your life...

Cheers

Not what I was saying.

I was just calling people who are addicted to cigarettes idiots in a polite way. Why else would you continue after your first, second or third cigarette? Unless you liked the taste of your first, which would surprise me. I'd like to know your story for becoming addicted though? Did you like the taste of your first few? Group pressure? Wanted to fit in a group? etcetera etcetera

Unless you smoked weed as your first thing and got addicted to nicotine that way :D

I recently discovered rolling tobacco, it is quite popular here in France. I like it because it's cheaper than normal cigarettes and one pack of tobacco lasts for a really long time.

I bought a Lucky Strike tobacco "sans additifs" ... it's almost healthy!! ;)

Just ask some relatives to buy huge amounts of cigarettes in Luxembourg. Ain't it a lot cheaper there?

Yes it is but they are planning to make it the same price in all of Europe apparently. But tobacco is also more practical for me because I only smoke occasionally and this way I always have my own and don't have to ask others

Based on his posting history the only thing that surprises me is that he managed to string some of the sentences together.

Blutto. Take your Rand and Paul speech, your entire US politics piece and your way out of line insult to Scott So Cal, and stick it up your ***.

This thread is for posters to reveal if they smoke or not, and discuss the social and health issues that surround that. Your trolling is not welcome.

I must admit I'm intriguided by your new race prep strategy. And good for you for not falling for Big Pharma with their so-called 'Breathe-Right' strips. Those things make you look like a **** and just make it easier for bugs to fly up your nose.

Full disclosure here- I shouldn't pretend that I'm unaware of the health benefits of smoking. Hell, I've known about that since I was 11 years old. While traveling to a Little League baseball game, one of my teammates discovered a tick on his forehead right at the hairline. Our resourceful assistant coach used his cigarette (which was already conveniently lit in an enclosed space with other people's children ) to burn that little sucker off! You're still a hero to us all, Coach Waldrop!! Props!!!

I smoke either a cigar or a pipe everyday. For those who have not done so, you don't inhale (in your lungs) cigars or pipe smoke, you just bring the smoke in your mouth and then exhale.
