Yay Klodi :)

Do you like him just because he is riding with Andy now? ;)

no, i began to root for him in the 2004 tour but maybe i like them both more given they ride together currently. :) klodi is thoroughness, wisdom, ability to do everything perfectly to the best of available capacities, andy is just an outstanding climber, the best over the last 10 years i think, the man who really pushes the boundaries.

How did that work? Assuming Sastre isn't in that list anymore because he retired, not because Candy doesn't like him
the first one, of course. :)

Classics - Cancellara's heroic antics never fail to please.

GT overalls - I wasn't a big fan of Contador until a) Mt. Etna - just amazing. Ironically, I like him even more since his, IMO, despicable mistreatment during the whole Clen case. The UCI have been shown up as a bunch of bribe taking money-grabbing black-listing hypocrites and the sport would be far better off without them.

GT Sprints - Cav - his ability to win bunch sprints time and time again either with or without a team is amazing. I am the world’s biggest Cav fan but my opinion of him is that he is over-hyped and under-rated. The media hype surrounding the "fastest man on earth" doesn't do justice for his technical ability in the sprint. It's that ability that gets him where he needs to be at the right time so he can then use the speed to his advantage.

Rooting for the underdog, eh? Do you hate losing?

The Contador thing was the same for me. I did not start liking him until i really joined the CN forum/ the UCI case. I was rooting for Andy in the 2012 TDF ( he sure is present at that particular GT ).

I know we all whinge about Andy but being too nice is a quality that has been in other cyclists as well/ he will win a GT ( not the TDF 2010 ) someday and i like him for that reason.

I like Cancellara, Sagan, Fedrigo, Froome, Vino, Thomas, Voigt, Chavanel, Hushovd and Rui Costa along with Cadel Evans/ most other Aussies.

Changes on a race by race (stage by stage even) basis. I don't usually support the top tier riders but can't help but enjoy watching a Contador/Cancellara/Gilbert spectacular, also like seeing home riders do well in their big races.

A few names that come to mind: JRod, Brutt, Sagan, Szmyd, Jens, ten Dam, anyone attacking in an Euskatel jersey.

You had me at andreas :D

Yep, Andy is an outstanding climber, but I can't agree with him as best climber in last 10 years. If we are talking GT's then that's Lance and Alberto. By the end of his career Andy could be considered a greater climber than Alberto (they are rather close indeedy), but he still has a ways to go for that to be bestowed upon him.

I hope for Klodi to have everything prepared perfectly now for Pais Vasco. Only a few more sleeps.

naturally i'm being absolutely serious as the other contender for this honorary title eliminated himself, indirectly confirming how his wins were reached

Brits and Frandy.

What, you don't like Hoogerland, your fellow Dutchman, the most likable rider in this pile of earth and the most aggressive rider in every race he enters?

Incredibly open-minded. I even put others in my top. I could've just selected one but that's just not true.

I wonder how he confirmed it.

It's funny, until you said that I never thought of it like that. The only one I don't like to see lose is Cav. I'm more interested in the way Contador and Canc race in particular efforts, I very rarely watch any racing on TV so usually end up watching the highlights or read about Cancellara falling off 3 times, puncturing once and yet still fighting his way back to the front, the fact he didn't win didn't matter at all, but the way he rode is what matters.

I hate to see Cav lose. But with the other two it's more about the racing than the results, if that makes sense?

Armstrong >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Anita

Basso >> Anita

Contador >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Anita

Andy was average last year. He can't climb outside July anyway. That matters a lot.
