I also love Kiryienka, Hayman ( next year's obscure winner of P-R FTW ) after he could have this year instead of working for Flecha and De Gendt

Jens and Amets for obvious reasons.
Moncoutie for his lifestyle.
Spartacus because he seems classy while maintaining his edge
Chavanel and Casar because I can't get enough of the breakways
Gilbert because of his tactical acumen and the ferocity with which he can attack the field on those steep uphill sprints
Vino the rider (not as big a fan of Vino the person, from what I can tell). Always one to liven up a race, even if tactically naive.
Chris Horner because he seems like a genuine guy and the underdog factor.
Voeckler for the facial expressions and the way he seems to rise above his perceived limits
and recent additions to my list Nieve, Roy, Hoogerland and Sagan.

Voeckler, Gilbert, Hoogerland, Taaramäe, Moncoutie, Roy. Just gotta love very agressive riders.

And surprisingly for myself - Chris Froome, won me over when he had to work for Wiggins in Vuelta wearing leaders jersey. Felt really sorry for him.

Yes congrats on your 300th and the perfect timing of it to coincide with the subject of your post!

Wonder how many folks will be feeling the same now we're almost at the end of the season: my "favourite rider" slot is up for grabs in 2012.

Philbert's prolific performances this year have been way too sketchy, so I've decided to spread the love elsewhere.

I noticed one of my favorite posters (Jobiwan), and a self-proclaimed unashamed fan of Andy Schleck, is listed as having Contador as his favorite rider! What would Andy say about this duplicitous behaviour???:p

It's ok, Andy and Alberto have a blossoming bromance, they'll see it as another sign that people understand them.

Phil, Thor, Vino, Andy and Spartacus:cool: if I only pick five.

And of course, our local talent like Mollema, Boom, Kruiswijk, Ruijgh, Poels, Bos and our no. 1 hero, Johnny Hoogerland.

I've gone off Gesink a bit.....

1: Oscar Freire (talent trumps everything)
2: Hushovd (since this years tour)
3: Gesink (I'm biased)
4: French riders in general (style, grinta, courage etc.)

Well, he is cool! Not only for being as tough as he was in the situation: "33 stitches, no prop... I'll just continue this!" but also for being as civil as he was: "Nobody does it on purpose." I think he might have been the person being less angry about it!

Number One: The HausslerHoff - He will be back to his best next year and win a big classic. If he loses, at least we will get an interesting interview (he loves the camera)!

Notable Mentions: Boonen, McEwen, Freire, Sagan, Eddy Bos, Gilbert and Thor.

Past Riders: Cipo, Tom Steeles, Bettini and Bo Hamburger (got to love that name)!

Froome earned my respect big time during the Vuelta. Behaved like a real gentleman in every way. Never complained, went out of his way to thank the fans, celebrated his Pena stage win like he had won the race, even though he had lost it, always had a smile on his face.

A rider i hope to be supporting for a long long time.

Back when Riis won the Tour apparently there were people throwing rice at him. Ris, which is pronounced the same was as Riis, means... well... rice!

Good thing Hamburger never won the Tour... :p
