Hrotha was near the front surrounded by his Spanish armada -Hrotha of course had recently just signed a long term contract with the Spanish armada cycling team with the intention of building a fully Spanish squad. Of course nationalism was very important to Hrotha; it was his primary reasoning for wanting to win this race, for the glory of España!
LOL, you got me raising an eyebrow for a second there :p

Got this one done at work today, slowly but surely CN tour progresses..

Meanwhile at the back of the peloton, Jobiwan - who was lucky to start the stage – was just barely hanging on, clearly struggling with his injuries.

...

Meanwhile other groups rolled in and dribs and drabs, Jobiwan conceding another 40 seconds to his main rivals after injuries become too much in the final km.

Stage:
Notable time losses: Jobiwan +1.25sec

Post Race Comments:
Jobiwan: This has been a difficult race for me so far. Hoping my fortunes can change soon. . [/i]

Hopefully a change of fortunes will indeed come, maybe after a few more stages I'll be recovered and in attacking mode again!! :p

As a matter of fact you are Craig.
"Sadly", I'm leaving for a 2-week holiday on Saturday, so there'll be no classics on my behalf for a while.
When I'm back, I'll try and come up with a new race as soon as possible.

People who want to enter can apply until tomorrow, 12.00 CET.*

*The race organizer reserves the right to reject any entrant (e.g. D_T). The actual start list will NOT be limited to riders who have applied for participation.

Ikke meedoen! :p

Post Race Comments:
Libertine: Just happy to make it to the finish with that traitor parullo up the road.
Craig: I’m pretty sure I saw libertine holding onto a car…
Jobiwan: This has been a difficult race for me so far. Hoping my fortunes can change soon.
ACF: I.. Want.. My.. Mommy !
Ryo: The peloton are a pack of chumps, I pity them all, I will show them what a real man does in the mountains.

And finally, Ak-Zaaf on today’s stage:
"In this country, you gotta make the form first. Then when you get the form, you get the confidence. Then when you get the confidence, then you get the victories."

Michiel's comment: I'm obviously happy about moving up to 3rd in GC but the amount of second places I've been getting are killing me. They clearly show I'm in good condition but I'm really hoping for a win soon.
I was working well with Boomcie, because we didn't want Zama to get too much time before the real mountains. The guy's not a super climber but he can suffer! I hope to get purple for at least 1 day before we hit the real mountains. Because after all, I'm here to get Boomcie win the GC after 3 weeks.

Back at the front the hustle for the KOM points had begun, world champion and current kom leader thirteen was unable to respond AussieGodess’s attack. However on Aussiegoddess’s wheel luckyboy, roundabout, Lupetto, Kwibus, Ak-zaaf and race radio had no trouble following. Luckyboy then launched in the dying meters piping aussiegoddess and roundabout on the line for maximum points. The damage to the riders struggling before the summit was minimal so they were soon able to bridge back on the descent. Again onem@n@rmy and mewmewmew worked like crazy on the front, with occasional help from roundabout and the goddess from down under.

........

Purple Jersely: 1. Ak-Zaaf, 2. Zamasailo 3. Michielveedeebee 4. Ingsve 5.Parullo 6.ACF 7. Havetts 8. Lanaark 9. Boomcie 10. Lupetto

KOM: 1. Luckyboy 2. Thirteen 3. Aussie Goddess

Sprinters Jersey: 1. Libertine 2. Zamasailo 3. Craig 4. Dim 5. Ingsve

White Jersey: 1. Zamasailo 2. Lupetto 3. Spine Concept

Teams: 1. Mafioso 2. Mambo Italiano 3. Team Belgium

"[/i]

"Very happy to be in the mountains at last" was the comments from an exhausted AussieGoddess after the race. "I really gave it everything for the major points in the KOM today, but Luckyboy was too good at the top. ACF finishing 8th wasnt really the plan either, after so much great work from the team, he needs to get his sh!t together and finish it for Team Boomerang!!"

If you're going to censor stuff, Susan, you really should blot out the whole lot, otherwise it becomes doctored to suit your own purposes and is a post in your name.

Rather than complaining about the moderating you should be thanking them that you are yet to recieve a 24 hour ban for 2 strikes.

People have gotten bans for far lighter stuff than that and yet you prat around complaining that the mods don't applaud as you attempt to bait and troll half the forum.

One does wonder what you are still doing in this thread. I find a lot of threads unbearable once, for example, you start posting in them so i just leave them.

EDIT: Just been talking to the Hitch in PM. Discussed a few things and understand each other. I don't like being a haughty so-and-so, so I've edited this post as well.

If you're a casual observer and have found this entertaining, my apols. I can't win!

I really meant no harm with regards to the game. It struck me as odd at first, but I agree it's harmless. The above gifs were a joke not communicated sufficiently by me. I'm not so keen on smileys. You're blessed with exquisite sensitivty on the matter, so I'll keep my promise: I'll say no more on it or read it. Please, carry on.

I need to get my **** together? Craig is leading me astray in leadout so I can't position correctly in the sprint. When I get a proper leadout I will be unstoppable!

There's more infighting going on at Team Boomerang than at the Carrara team at the 1987 Giro.

Keep on whinging! I am sick of your sabotage attempts!

TGACF is unstoppbale when he gets a proper leadout!

Dekker_Tifosi (AKA Rube "The Pube" Lampe) was too exhausted to respond right after the race. He did release a pres statement hours later saying that he thought Boomcie should "die in a fire".

This is possibly why Dekker_Tifosi is such a fan favourite.

In other news, I will show solidarity with my homeboy Mark Renshaw and agree that there simply aren't enough bunch sprints in the CN Tour these days. I think the fans enjoy seeing them, but they're being treated like they're a bad thing by callous race organisers scared of my domination. Parrulo is walking a fine line so far. Sticking with the GC candidates is OK as long as you don't do a turn and perhaps try to sabotage any breaks. But he'd better not start getting any funny ideas.

it is time for Team Attack to win!

curse the curses!

(and you should know that i will be reading it in a hotel lobby in the Netherlands, making a total a$$ of myself as i giggle with glee :p)

i would even be happy if my fellow teammate won (just bring back Scarlett and the cherry, please)... regardless, i will attack!!!

Team Boomerang unlikely to do much with all the infighting

#Team Boomerang has had a team meeting/dinner/Aussie P!ss-up and resolved all differences.

We will rally behind our leader and take over the world!!!!!!

(slightly hungover perhaps - but ready to for Monte CQ all the same) :p
