Hrotha was near the front surrounded by his Spanish armada -Hrotha of course had recently just signed a long term contract with the Spanish armada cycling team with the intention of building a fully Spanish squad. Of course nationalism was very important to Hrotha; it was his primary reasoning for wanting to win this race, for the glory of España!

Michiel's comment: I'm obviously happy about moving up to 3rd in GC but the amount of second places I've been getting are killing me. They clearly show I'm in good condition but I'm really hoping for a win soon.
I was working well with Boomcie, because we didn't want Zama to get too much time before the real mountains. The guy's not a super climber but he can suffer! I hope to get purple for at least 1 day before we hit the real mountains. Because after all, I'm here to get Boomcie win the GC after 3 weeks.

Back at the front the hustle for the KOM points had begun, world champion and current kom leader thirteen was unable to respond AussieGodess’s attack. However on Aussiegoddess’s wheel luckyboy, roundabout, Lupetto, Kwibus, Ak-zaaf and race radio had no trouble following. Luckyboy then launched in the dying meters piping aussiegoddess and roundabout on the line for maximum points. The damage to the riders struggling before the summit was minimal so they were soon able to bridge back on the descent. Again onem@n@rmy and mewmewmew worked like crazy on the front, with occasional help from roundabout and the goddess from down under.

EDIT: Just been talking to the Hitch in PM. Discussed a few things and understand each other. I don't like being a haughty so-and-so, so I've edited this post as well.

I need to get my **** together? Craig is leading me astray in leadout so I can't position correctly in the sprint. When I get a proper leadout I will be unstoppable!

Dekker_Tifosi (AKA Rube "The Pube" Lampe) was too exhausted to respond right after the race. He did release a pres statement hours later saying that he thought Boomcie should "die in a fire".

This is possibly why Dekker_Tifosi is such a fan favourite.

In other news, I will show solidarity with my homeboy Mark Renshaw and agree that there simply aren't enough bunch sprints in the CN Tour these days. I think the fans enjoy seeing them, but they're being treated like they're a bad thing by callous race organisers scared of my domination. Parrulo is walking a fine line so far. Sticking with the GC candidates is OK as long as you don't do a turn and perhaps try to sabotage any breaks. But he'd better not start getting any funny ideas.

Wageningen... meeting one of my photographer friends who lives in Ede... we were planning (hoping?) to shoot some of the ceremonies for Operation Market Garden, but it looks like the para-troopers may get rained out
