Gilbert can barely help Evans even if he would be in top shape lol. He's not going to be Evans personal domestique for 3 weeks if he has the legs. If he doesn't have the legs it doesn't matter either way as he won't win a stage and won't be of much help to Evans.

If he has the legs he'll go for the win in the Ardennes.

If Phil is good enough the best thing he could probably do (for Evans) is attack early on in the sprints at Seraing and Annonay and maybe even the penultimate climb heading into Boulogne-ser-Mer. Or if he's not good enough to try and win those days he can help Evans a lot by doing a hard leadout.

I think he will get a win somewhere, the stage in the Jura should be good for him too. These are the days BMC should be targeting to try and make something happen, they aren't strong enough to influence the mountain stages.

I want Wiggins to win the Tour riding for Garmin.

Sky deserve to lose for being such corporate *****s and for extracting all the passion out of cycling. I'm also sick of all the 'cycling experts' that they have brought to the sport who have been following the sport for 2 years and are suddenly experts.

You sound like a miserable so-and-so, why should cycling (or any sport) be confined to those fans who have served a lifetime apprenticeship before getting interested in it?

News Corporation are yes indeed a grey, greedy monopolising corporate entitiy I agree and anyone who needs Sky TV, in my view, spends too much time on their backside watching television.

But, Team Sky have not extracted passion from the sport. If you lived in Britain you'd know the impact they are having on the public with more people getting into cycling. How can that be a bad thing, if indeed you are a cyclist and not just a forum-jockey?

Neither Wiggins, nor Cav are excatly opinion-less corporate pros are they? They ride to their strengths, they can't excite like Boonen or Canc as they don't have the talent (well not yet anyway).

Without Andy, I pick van den Broeck for the win. Along with Fränk, he should be the best climber in the peloton now. I rate them a bit higher than Evans, Gesink, Rolland, Froome, Sanchez and some other guys. We've already noticed his TT improvement.

Yes, anyone but Wiggins +1. With Andy out I say Evans or maybe F. Shcleck (he seems to be in better form). Would like to see Sanchez do well also, but he did crash in Dauphine.

His position may look good, the end result still isn't great. In the last flatter 10 kilometers (the only "real" TT kilometers) he lost 40 seconds to Gesink. 40 seconds! And that's just to Gesink, let alone a guy like Wiggins.

I'm calling Wiggins in first by 2 minutes. Very likely two Sky riders in the top-5, Wiggins on the top.

I also predict Saxo bank GC contenders won't have enough power to stay close to the top-3.
