Wiggins attacks at the start, is joined by some riders to form the break, eventually leaves his break companions to go solo and wins by 8 minutes.

Much more likely, but would not cause the forum to go into meltdown.

I wonder if Kristoff didn't spend too much energy at De Panne. He raced fully for 3 days.
Anyway, I don't see him surviving the really tough bergs at the end of RVV when Van Marcke, Stybar or GVA take them at full speed.

I think this is a very good ranking, except that I would drop Kristoff into the two-star group and Pozzato into the one-star group. Kristoff probably worked too hard this week.

Today I've picked some of the finest local cobbles to honour coming monuments and build the euphoria even more.

As you can see, it's full northern flavour.
And I'll tell you the secret of riding on the cobbles... The faster you go, the less you're suffering.

I'm very jealous! I'm trying my hardest to find proper cobbles round here!

They're few and far between round here but I ride on them whenever I find some!

Van Avermaet is a rider who goes close to winning but doesn't actually do so. Gerrans is an example of a lesser rider who actually wins things.

Yes. Gilbert at his peak indeed. He has podium places in four of the 5.

Kwiat, probably is the next closest. Realistically can win 4 of the 5 (except PR).

With GVA, it's probably a mental thing. Some people aren't just not aggressive and ruthless enough to win.

i'd prefer if one of Vanmarcke or Stybar wins.

With the absence of Boonen and Fabian it's time for a new cobbles king to step up !

quite likely, as Friggins will just test his new marginally 8% faster rear-sus Dogma on which he'll TT away in Roubaix

This?

Edit: Cant see why they dont use a normal Dogma. It worked last year and at the Le Tour. Plus the F8 has been used fir all the Flanders races this year with two wins on it.

You would have thought that the ideal time to use the new Dogma would have been at Omloop ... not the two biggest cobbled races of the year.

When is this poll thing going to be fixed? Getting beyond annoying now.

As for the win ... Can see Van Avermaet shaking off his nearly man tag tomorrow.

The whole Etixx team makes it to the finish with the lead group only to let 5 other riders beat them to the finish. Lefevere turns into the hulk and retires.
