Jesús would have won the race, but they tragically made him work in Andorra when wearing the Jersey Rojo because they didn't realise he was the stronger man. This led Froome to take the lead. Froome then took bonus seconds by beating J-Rod in the uphill sprint at Ezaro, attacked on the Alto Folgueiras de Aigas with Jesús in tow on stage 14, let Jesús take the Covadonga stage, before ripping the field apart with an attack on San Lorenzo a full 90km from the finish, riding the rest of the stage with Jesús and the duo putting seven minutes into the field.

Yes, while we know for sure that Contador and AS climb much better than anything we've seen in this TDF so far, if they are in shape. So why people randomly assume Froome is better beats me. He might suprise, but hey, everybody might suprise, and Froome didn't show enough just yet for anybody to reasonably assume he would beat Contador on a stage race with so many MTF's.

Yes but even if VDB and Nibali are his rivals, he doesn't have any problem.

Shame about Antón I had hoped he would do well. Good that Sammy Sánchez finds some success though.

You need to add Cobo to the poll

Yep. He's riding the Tour as a training ride to prepare for the Vuelta. It's wrong to write him off judging by his Tour form.

According to De gendt, the giro was a warmup with a hopeful top 20, the Vuelta is what he has been preparing for, so be afraid.

Everyone apart from Contador who barring injury should walk away with it 5 mins +

De Gendt later said he wouldnt do the Vuelta for GC anymore this year. Not sure why anymore but I believe it was because he wanted to focus on the worlds.

Why not? His home tour is more important for him than the "Medias only cycle race in the world".

actually he's not in the form he used to be when he rode from unzue years ago
i really think he has another mentality now and he has a peaceful mind

he stayed with rogers's huge tempo on croix de fer so pretty good. i think he can go for a win in the pyrenees

Yes, the result of Toussuire is already a sentence for Contador. The Vuelta 1st place is occupied.

Clearly he was better than he thought he was going to be at the Giro so I wouldn't be that afraid of him.
