Gosh, didn't realise it was so hilly. Evenepoel, Vine, Pogacar, Plapp in that order.

Looks like a Tour de France Alpine stage if you ignore the vertical scale. Is Ganna not even doing it? Or just left out of the poll because of hills? And what about Tarling? I see McNulty is not going, as the US team is marked as confirmed on PCS. That's a bit surprising. Could have been a strong candidate for a good result.

Remco takes it for me.

Pogacar second for me given the parcours but Vine will be there or thereabouts. would not surprise me to see Pogacar/Vine push Remco close.

He's not participating, otherwise, he obviously would have been included. He said he'll focus on the European Championship.

As far as I know, a number of American riders elected not to travel to Rwanda.
Ganna chose not to go after looking at the profile.

I'm giving Pog a slight edge over Remco, but it could go either way. Vine's my joker if he doesn't crash.
Can't see anybody else coming close honestly.

I was in Girona last week and Plapp was doing repeated efforts on his TT bike behind a moto on 4-5% hills, think he should have a very strong chance for third

Has specifically prepared for the ITT. He and Vine are evenly matched, so a podium is a possibility. I'm also interested in how they will perform in the RR.

Could be either. I'd think Evenepoels level is gonna be way more more predictable and not deviate much, whereas Pogacar may be anywhere from lol Poglstomp to lol hungover training for the WC RR

Agreed, Pogacar is more mercurial in TTs and sometimes flops. Evenepoel has strong TT performances even when not at his best (it terms of form, mass etc).

His last time trial was absolutely garbage.

He was ill or exhausted because of preparation shortcomings plus it was almost pure uphill battle (simply climbers contest). I have to say that in this particular WC TT his margin will be smaller than usually because of those 600+ meters of climbing in total.

How some think Remco can outperform Pogi on this route is beyond me. He will perhaps be ahead after 10k but that's it.
The q is - will they ride a TT machine or aero? Or a combination of the two
