its like that said:It will be a great achievement if any rider gets within 30 sec. I just saw the betting for this and Wiggins is paying $2.00 to win!!!!
Time to remortgage my house

Morbius said:Wiggins interviewed on BBC. At the end he stands up and about 100-150 people cheer. He says, completely deadpan, "now I know how the Beatles felt like"
Made me smile anyway.
Morbius said:Schleck missing the tour made as much difference to the result in Paris as Schleck missing today
Opalius said:Do make the same argument with Contador missing the Tour though.
Armchair cyclist said:Leant on a roadside barrier in Esher High St all afternoon. Healthy, but by no means knowledgeable crowds (People nearby realised I had heard of more than two cyclists, I was asked "Has Cavendish got a chance of a medal?", "Do they have a sprint finish?" and, once I had explained to a guy with a Dublin accent that Nick Roche wasn't the Irish representative "So might yer man McCann get a medal?), but they seemed to genuinely enjoy it, good atmosphere, cold beer, decent sunshine, and good sportsmanship towards all competitors.
There was a gasp of "Isn't she tiny?", and possibly a patronising "Ahhhh", as Pooley passed.
Morbius said:If you are going to say a win was lucky because one key rider was missing then you shoudl take tours away from Coppi, Fignon, Roche.....
I'm sure that Wiggins' personality is not to everyone's taste, but his proper interviews are pretty good
Dekker_Tifosi said:Still the question remains..how will Wiggins do against a 100% Cancellara and 100% Martin. Because Tony said 2 things today, Wiggins is (at the moment) unbeatable, but also, that he himself is not at 100% yet

er, no. I didn't make a commen about Contador, so couldn't have edited it away.Opalius said:Quite to the contrary. I was referring to your statement about Contador, which you have now edited away.
Anyways...

Bavarianrider said:Tony is happy with silver.
He sad after 10km his legs were gone and he barely could reach 450 Watts.
He says when in top shape he rides between 450-500 Watts for the hour in a TT.
But yesterday he couldn't stay in this range after 10km any more.
Given this, he is happy that he could win silver with this limited performance.
Montanus said:So if he doesn't get any new injuries, we could expect a real battle in the worlds, given Wiggo can recharge his batteries after some amazing weeks.
No doubt Wiggins will be able to "recharge his batteries", he has showed amazing powers of recovery after the Tour and then flogging himself in the RR for Cav. Froome too, they were absolutely uncredible in the TT.Montanus said:So if he doesn't get any new injuries, we could expect a real battle in the worlds, given Wiggo can recharge his batteries after some amazing weeks.
Bavarianrider said:The biger question. Will Wiggins be motivated to prepare for the worlds?
I mean i wouldn't if i was him. He has won so mich this year i don't think thw Worlds are that much of a goal now for him.
