I find it weird that Wiggins is trying his to put on some weight if the best TT's of his career happened when he was skinny. Anyway, Martin should take this one if it's flat.

There's a difference between a one off TT and a TT in a stage race though. It seems reasonable enough.

First I though TM. but then looking at the obscenely flat course, don't know.

Where can we get the route map? how technical is this?

This result from yesterday isn't really good for his standards.

Nevertheless, I remember he had some messed up preparation so he might come good for the worlds. A flat power TT should suit him fine although I'm not sure about the long distance.

Yeah, being beaten by Tommy V in a time trial isn't a good sign for him but other good TT riders like Larsson and Spilak also lost out. Was it an unusual TT course?

I expect Martin and Wiggins to get 1st and second but the battle for third is interesting, with Phinney, Pinotti, Dowsett, Malori, Durbridge and Cancellara (if he takes part) all capable of challenging.

Considering what went on before his ride, his result makes much more sense and actually isn't too bad as it initially looks.

I had a rough start to my time trial. When I was warming up, I began to have gear trouble and the mechanical issues continued from there. We didn’t have enough time to sort things out, so five minutes before my start, I found myself sitting on the start line on my road bike.

Inside a minute of my start time, I had to jump on Jens Mouris’ bike. We put the seat down quickly, and that was the only adjustment we had time to make before I had to take off or miss my start. I had no power meter or any indication of speed. Not only did all the issues before my start mess with my mental preparation, I had no way to gauge my effort, which was a huge challenge.
