On Cancellara.

I thought all along it would be between Wiggins and Martin but I didnt think Canc would bother.

But I see now he is doing it. Which makes me think he will be right up there too.

Because what would be the point of doing the tt if he didnt think he had the form, and his aim is the RR. Having lost the 2011 Worlds to Martin handidly, and won 4 others, he should be able now to tell if he has the form to challenge or not.

Of course a lot of the fans on here now only started watching when Martin was already the king so wont know that Cancellara was great once, and some of us have sort of forgotten a bit how good Canc is on the tt becuase Martin has dominated last 3 years and Canc hasnt done much on it (still won around 10 tts in that time)

But brother, when he was good, he was the best we had. Position wise and technique wise on the bike he is amazing.

And usually, when Canc declares something a goal and proper prepares for it, thats when he gives his superhuman performances.

Hes got the form for the Road race, and last time he hulked up for the road race he went and beat Wiggins and (a young) tony Martin by 3 minutes each and practically won the silver medal for GEL too. **** was unseemly, man.

The TT course in Mendrisio was hilly though wasn't it? I think on such a flat course Tony will win, but not by much.

A 4 time world time trial champion who has prepared for this race has odds of 8/1 for the crown.

How do you interpret that?

Where are you getting those odds from? From what I can find he's 1/2? Not sure on fractional odds, but he's $1.50 won for each dollar bet?

For who, for Canc?

Right now?

These could change of course when others look at them I suppose, but right now, decimal odds hes 9 (or 8/1) on 2 bookies, as well as on Paddy Power, and then 8 (7/1) on 3 others, + to others have him at 8.5.
