I am totally stumped w/r to making this call.
The weather will be a big factor I think...
yes Andy has the maillot jaune and some momentum but Cadel is so much better in the TT and keeps his focus so well and will die trying.

Rain= Cadel by a very small margin.

aaargh. I like them both but this may be Cadel's last chance and I have seen him put up so many valiant efforts to win.

anyway impossible. It would then come down to TTT hundredths of a second. And if that was equal, I would assume the most best placings? Which I assume cadel would win.

According to the race rules (Article 25A), the TTT plays no part in it - it's just the hundredths on the ITT. If that is the same, then they add up all the stage finishing positions and the lowest total wins. If even that is equal, then it's the first one across the line in Paris.

Too close to call. I'd like to see Cadel pull it off though. He deserves it. Won't be surprised if Andy hangs on by the skin of his teeth though.

So if times are all equal going into the final stage, we have the following:

TTT precise times..
Cadel vs Andy Best placings..

Finishing positions total as at Stage 19 (thanks LuckyBoy):
Cadel 268
Andy 423
Therefore, Andy needs to beat Cadel by 155 places plus whatever he loses in the ITT to win the Tour, IF the times are equal. Aint gonna happen as there are only 160 odd riders left in the race.
This also shows Cadel has been far more consist throughout the Tour, but 57 seconds is a big ask.

Cadel has it in the bag. Anyone who understands itt would agree. Andy has been on the verge of cracking and tonight it will happen. Andy looked terrible in the ttt I can only imagine how bad he will go in the itt after three weeks of racing. Andy would loose two minutes falling down a well compared to cadel.
