Lets take a list of the greatest riders of all time and the weather and terrain were they were born

Eddy Merckx, Belgium, Flat, crap weather
Bernard Hinault, Brittany, Flat, crap weather
Lance Armstrong, Texas, Flat, crap weather
Jacques Anquetil, Normandy, Flat, crap weather
Miguel Indurain, Sunshine is the reason he won, not Dr Conconi?
Greg Lemond, Sacramento, Really crappy weather
Lucien Van Impe, Belgium, Crap weather
Jan Ullrich, Germany, Flat Crap weather
Sean Kelly,Ireland, Flat, Crap weather. Good beer.

The #1 reason why Spanish riders are good is because of doping. Lack controls, lots of Doctors, and an acceptance of the practice.

Just because a Pro rides a big climb once in a training camp does not mean they are spending their entire off season on them

The vast majority of the Pro Peloton comes from areas that have few climbs and crap weather. The vast majority of the sports greatest riders the same.

It has nothing to do with the equation.

Well, I'm not contending that, YOU are.

I am giving my own personal opinion (not comments I grab right out of my behind) on why Spain produces so many talents. Meaning Spanish talent. You know... from Spain...

If I am missing the point then you are not explaining yourself clearly.

You have posted many times that weather and terrain are part of what makes Spanish riders great. I have shown you many reasons why this is not the case. The primary reasons for Spanish success are doping and large sums of cash flowing into the sport after Indurain.

I lived and raced in Spain for 2 years in the 80's. Cycling was a 2nd tier sport. Indurain changed all that. The Doctors took it to the next level.
