Well said Dim, Sorry to not have you post, as you add a lot. Certainly a lot more than said mob. Sadly administration here seems to have the same viewpoint as the mob and they have a completely different set of rules applied - especially when it comes to personal attack.

I have to say I agree here. From reading some of the threads it is obvious that some people can get away with saying virtually whatever they like while others who actually put up some quite good arguments against the status quo get banned. Sure some of their posts may have been aggressive but no more so than many of the replies.

Dim is right on the money regarding the moderation. A classic example is the Ullrich vs the Armstong threads. The Ulle thread was closed down because the moderators were 'uncomfortable' with the way is was heading, i.e. some people daring to be critical of certain aspects of Ulle's past. No such discomfort in the Armstrong thread where it is pretty much open season on the old uniballer!

Regarding the merits of some of the posts, at the end of the day everyone is entitled to their opinion regardless of how absurd, biased or bigoted they may be and some of them are even amusing in their absurdity if you don't allow yourself to get sucked in to malestrom of stupidity.:)

oht-oooo watch out, Things went a little bad for Wiggo. Did he blame the mechanic? Did he throw his bikey? Did he spit the dummy? not yet?

No? well that is progress.; maturity good on him I dont guess. I feel it coming on.....

Wait for the laundry list of his likes and dislikes in every interview hereafter then......
Tick tick tick boom.

Don't get me wrong. I still think he has the legs.

Good post and questions regarding moderation. I notice that you have recently registered to post, but my guess is you lurked for a while before registering. You may want to search the forums for references to the "handbag bunch" or "handbag ladies". Things may then become clearer.

There are more personal pronouns flying around this thread than a Wiggo press conference

"People ask me all the time, 'How do you race with these guys? Why do you not spit at them?' but you can't do that," Wiggins said to Cyclingnews.

"It's only bike racing, and it's actually the system that fails us as athletes. It's not really their fault (that they come back), it's the system's fault that allows them to do it. As long as they're allowed to race, what are we supposed to do? You have to race with them and treat them like anyone else, as rivals on the road. They're human beings, they're allowed to race. You can't blame them for wanting to come back, wanting to race and make money."

"Until they test positive, you have to accept the results they achieve. Otherwise it just makes everything a mess. Steve Cummings was 25th at Liège - Bastogne - Liège but all people were taking about was Vino and all the past winners of that race that have had troubles. But what about the riders who were up there? All that talk demoralizes them."

"If someone beats me in the Tour but I finish up there, I don't want it rubbed in that they might be doped. As far as I'm concerned, they're clean and getting on with their job. That's the way you have to deal with it."
