opinions can be interpreted as wilful propaganda and misinformation. I dont think you appreciate when the myths are deconstructed.

I dont necessarily agree with the Twitter posts. But if you are cross posting, in this subject sphere, it is not unexpected someone would pull references off Sky tweets as source material.

You got that one wrong then Frankie. My bicker with auscyclefan over twitter was just that, a bicker, ive privated my twitter, and said my peice, thats the end of that one as far as im concerned. (and bro the "contructed multiple persona" thing, makes it sound like creating fake identities. My initials are Dim as you know, many people call me it, if forums or places wont take a 3 letter username i use dimspace as its my web address. I aint changing that for noone.

anyway.. The twitter argument has nothing to do with anything. I am sick to the back teath of the bullying pack mentality that goes on in this place. A small group of members do more to disrupt this forum than any troll, could ever do. If they disagree with your opinion one of them ridicules you, the ohers soon follow and the gang of them attack from all directions. They dont just do it with Arbiter, they do it with many members, youve all been there, disagree with them and they resort to insults, they cant handle debate. And they get away with it on a daily basis, why, because most of the mods round here have the ******** of 2 year olds, or no ******** at all. (no doubt a mod will now pm me and tell me "you dont know everything that goes on, theres more to this than meets the eye") ******** is there, this place is full of bullies and Im not the first to think it.

So im getting out for a bit, if i stick around I will say far more than I should, and really kick off, i it will be my posts being deleted and me being banned for standing up against the forum omerta. Ive only posted this cos aus seems to be thinking things are his fault.

Hey dim hope you come back you're one one of my favourite posters and this forum will miss your neutrality.

So what happened to dimspace then? Did he get caught in the cross-fire between the mob and the muppet?

Bummer, he was a really useful source of info. I guess he will still be doing that, but its useful to see the links while you're here so you dont have to look in several places.

This tends to result in many lurkers/few posters. And people wonder why this forum has so few posters?

Googled about this forum and found (to me) a funny twitter - http://twitter.com/weezercat

I guess I could be termed a lurker, I log in most week days and have posted occasionally in this section and made a topic in the health and fitness section where them seems to be less bickering. I would love to post more but each topic that I open in the morning seems to start off with the best of intentions and then goes off tangent either bagging one another, or turning into an Armstrong or Contador argument, therefore any point on the original topic I wanted to make would be just lost in the crossfire of pointless arguments.

The blame for this lies solely with the moderators in my opinion, you need to set the framework for positive contributions. In the time I have been here one poster has had something like 10+ logins and continually derails conversation, it’s up to you to sort it out, it’s not difficult. You also need to set very clear and concrete guidelines around any post containing reference to Armstrong or Contador, there is more to cycling than these two guys and ninety percent of the off topic crap is concerning these two.

I think appealing for more moderator support is not really helpful, it's quite difficult for them to draw the line between legitimately discussing a race and needlessly bringing Armstrong or Contador into a discussion, and I don't think it's a decision they should be asked to make. There's also a fair amount of good-natured ribbing that goes on between fans of different teams that might come off as flaming. Also, CN seems to be pretty desperately understaffed.

Yes, there are some bad posters on this board. It's up to the rest of us to ignore them and not feed the trolls. I know it's difficult to turn the other cheek to someone who is hurling slander at your favourite team or rider, but arguing with them only makes them more persistent.

If someone only checks the board once a week I can see how it can appear fractured.

The reality is there is one person who is responsible for 90% of the negativity on the board. With over 20 different banned usernames he will flood the board with inane, baiting posts with the goal of causing conflict and making the threads unreadable. These conflicts can feed a caustic atmosphere that carry over into other threads.

It appears that the Mods have it partly under control and can now at least mitigate some of the damage faster then previous.

But dimspace does not check the board only once a week. He is on here all the time and saw what you did to the other thread. He is saying that YOU ruined it. Not me. It was YOU that was responsible for the trolling and negatively, and he has seen you do it time and time again, so much so that he is leaving. ChrisE, Polish and python also spoke against you. You're completely out of touch.

Why don't you just apologise to him and promise not to do it again?

In the case of that one poster(?) it is now at least 24 times that he has been banned and come back, I don't spend much time on any other forums but I'm pretty sure he's gotta be in record territory. As far as moderation goes too much is just as bad as too little, this place seems to be pretty open.
I would say if you've got something to say, go ahead and speak up, if somebody aggressively disagrees so what? It's only words ......on the internet......it doesn't get much more impersonal than that. There are a few guys here who come across a bit like attack dogs sometimes but for the most part they are fair minded and are very knowledgeable cycling fans. The most knowledgeable of any cycling forum on the average. You will be fine as long as you don't post 60 times in a 24 hour period on 1 thread, or become the 250th new poster to inform us that Lance "is the most tested cyclist in the world and has never tested positive".

Hi, the list of names is irrelevent since I am banned because I was banned before, not for trolling. The mods have given up even pretending that I troll - there's just no evidence of it. Where was the trolling on the Wiggins thread in the clinic? The mods thought it was such a good topic they kept the thread open. I STARTED THAT THREAD!

BroDeal has his IP blocked for trolling, yet he is allowed back, so it's all very hypocritial.

But I think you're good at spotting my names. Much better than RR that used to pretend I had loads of concurrent sock accounts.

You have got at least two names wrong though. I was never Stealth or Sprocket999. There are a few others that I'm not sure of but can't remember, but fair play.

RR is now claiming in PMs that because he wasn't named specifically therefore dimspace was not refering to him. Jesus Christ.

He is clearly refering to the group of trolls - BroDeal, TFF and RR, and a few hangers on - who love to turn the threads into a debate about me instead of the topic. RaceRadio is certainly one of those people. You know that.

I haven't come back to debate - I'm sure I will be deleted and banned very soon - but we can't let RR lie that Dimspace was not refering to him as the reason why he left. That's a lie too far I'm afraid.

I will be watching to see if you listen to him and clean up your act.

Alpe it says your PMs is full and you need to delete before you can accept replies.

Alpe d'Huez said:
I'm going to ask you to kindly leave, and stay away. Any posts you make, no matter what they contain, will be deleted and you will be banned.

Yes I know. I only planned to post a leaving message this morning. I think Susan understood this because she left my posts up in the about the forum section for a while after I know she had seen it, probably because it was out the way. However you then turned up and started deleting all my posts, meaning that RR was left to lie that Dimspace was not refering to him. That's the only reason I've had to come back on. I've mainly kept it in PMs.

This is one hell of a troll. I hope you can see him lying his **** off.

Well, he does have time to PM me as well as post. Seriously disturbed individual.

Is that really appropriate? You've upset dimspace who says he he psychological issues.

Maybe you've got the problem. As dimspace has said, stop the forum omerta where you and your gang think you can bully and smear, and disrupt threads. This is a cycling forum, not your little playground.

My thoughts and clarification.

now let this thread go back to wiggins jokes and wikipedia tampering.

Damn youse guys. It's an internet cycling message board. Easy on the drama, OK? I think there are a lot of posters here who could use a healthy dose of perspective.

My viewpoint as a bystander in all this. The regulars were having a go at each other once again, when the one-who-has-been-banned-many-times (OWHBBMT) came back and was quickly back to his old tricks of over posting and attributing meaning and intentions to others. It's hard to know who said what after his onslaught of posts and tempers quickly flared and the board detonated. Which should make OWHBBMT very happy because isn't that his goal?

Would the explosion have happened with OWHBBMT? I don't think so as it's not the first time that some of the posters became a bit rough to each other.

anyway, just my opinion.

Well said Dim, Sorry to not have you post, as you add a lot. Certainly a lot more than said mob. Sadly administration here seems to have the same viewpoint as the mob and they have a completely different set of rules applied - especially when it comes to personal attack.
