(and for the record I agree that Dim is a great memeber of the forum) I am saying that nobody forced him to put personal things on the internet and that to then complain because people make reference to that information is a bit weak.

I am really confused by this worldwide idea that somehow "famous" people deserve any criticism they get if they make something public but that "real people" should be able to do the exact same thing and not have that abused by anybody...

I do not believe this. If the criticism is valid then it is reasonable but I would not agree that "Any" criticism is valid.

If Dim had some website that showed us he was a douchebag I might understand it but he did not.

I like what he brings, and the Sky fans site. Some good inside info. Dim could go two ways, he could go the way of StrongArm trolls, or be a realist. And he should not be defending arbiter.

What I am saying is: What does it say about us as humans on an internet forum if we are happy to absolutely shred the public persona of someone like a professional cyclist when at the same time we think we shouldn't do the same to anyone else who is NOT famous?

Saying someone wants that type of publicity because they want to be famous is a crock. Anyone that posts to public social networking sites is by definition wanting to communicate with as many people as possible. They have to take the good with the bad.

The bold. Great point. Brilliant point that should be taken seriously. Seeing as I am in my mid 20s I have other past time hobbies aside from sports. Gaming is one. This past year I have been getting back into gaming and play online. I do so for amusement and also for entertainment I watch captured footage from other online players that are posted on their respective YouTube channels.

Now I haven't read all the posts but I have read about 75% on most of the threads this past fortnight. Dim has been in the spotlight a fair bit and some of the responses are warranted and others are not. That isn't important. The level of aggression is, and in no way does it compare to the teenagers who roam YouTube and flame and abuse anyone with a pulse who doesn't think, speak or act like they do. Most of it is incomprehensible but the point is when you create an online alias and voice your opinion you can expect negative feedback. What goes on here is tame and for the most part adult, however much you care to disagree. I get where Dim is coming from and understand his perspective. We don't need to repeat what we already know about his opinion and views so lets just drop it.

Keep the thread going because it is funny and is not harming Wigans. Sky, Wiggins and Brailsford will compete as they intended before this season began, regardless of what we say and joke about here. The user who created this thread believes Wigans will podium this year. That is a vote of confidence. Regular posters know this and his views thus they will not mistake Blackcats intentions as mockery and some self righteous parade of monumental proportions. Also on another note, if you do make multiple accounts on various internet social and sporting sites/forums then your opinions on both will be brought across by some people. Hint, use a different name/GT/avatar FFS! I do. You won't jump on XBox Live and find Galic Ho anymore. Perhaps Dim you need to shut the Twitter down or set up a new account and let the Dimspace twitter die a slow death. Faze it out so opinions on different matters get dragged across sites and conversely placed out of context.

Back to the OP, it seems we have some more Wigans quotes. Looks like an entire thread in the Clinic got a lot of people riled up. Ignore BPC no matter what he says. Ignoring people removes their power. How did Merlin destroy Queen Mab? By telling the people to ignore her and to forget. If TFF can maintain such a stance and effectively mitigate BPC, then so can you. Also to all new members of the forums, feel free to post about anything you want, except in response to him. I cannot tell you not to respond but there are people on this forum who will see you as an enabler if you persist with such an attitude. Every question and line of thinking has already been responded to, points people like Polish, Dim and ChrisE did not account for in their responses about JJ, MM and whatever his new ID was, having a valid point. His points were valid months ago on another thread and were all answered. BPC, Max Power, Jim Jones never responded to the serious answers that disproved his perspective. Never, not once. He selectively targeted posts and forumists who would bite. Past tense, not the present, please ignore him so Alpe, Susan and 180mm don't have to waste their time making threads that are enjoyable readable.

They can't really ignore me because they know that without their disruption I will not disrupt the thread on my own. They have to attack me for the disruption to occur in the first place. I think Aus posted some tweets from Dim, who I guess communicates with Wigans. Dim then went around the bend because stuff he puts online outside this forum was put online here. Instead of simply making his twitter account private and moving on, he went off in a huff. At least that is my read on it.

I may be missing something.
