Public accusations of doping and nauseating, uncalled for, public *** kissing are NOT the only options.

Maybe not, but it was the option Ferminal was calling for from Wiggins.

Yeh, I don't actually know why he doesn't believe LA when he said he was clean in 2009. If he was so shockingly dirty on Ventoux why didn't he call him out on it then.

Lance is the new Ricco.

Vaughters at the time called it out. Said there was more doping in 2009 than 20008 or prior.

The thing to remember about Wiggins is that he isn't very bright. He's also impetuous which means he says things without considering the ramifications. Bearing this in mind his inconsistent statements about Armstrong are understandable.

If i was on jury duty and the defense used the argument - bare in mind my defense is stupid so he did not know the ramifications of self.incrimination, am i supposed to go - oh in that cts all inadmissible then?

and JV, who called him out for making such remarks (partially quoted in this thread) adds that he thinks Wiggins is clean (that part is left out of the 'incriminating' twitter excerpts - selective editing by Wiggins haters).

Are you guys playing dumb or are you for real? Do you not understand the difference between testimony and opinion?

What jv wrote about wiggins and lance yesterday was a matter of fact statement. He was there he saw it, it happened.

What Jv writes about wiggins being clean is that its his opinion. He wasn't there he didn't see it and he doesn't know 100% if it happened.

You see the difference. I mean its a pretty big one.

That said its all redundant anyway because Jv saying he thinks wiggins is clean was mentioned in this thread. And in this.many other threads

kimmage interview 2008/9:

one is hard-pressed to assume Wiggins wasn't informed.

On the other hand, Wiggins joined the team after Lance announced his comeback, so perhaps they decided not to be as open with Lance's real story in light of that.

I don't rate it as likely, but it is at least plausible. Did JV ever confirm that he told Wiggins the real story?

How many examples can you give me of a cyclist, during a race, publicly accusing another rider of doping?

That is the point, why do it now if not then? Oh because it becomes the norm for the collective e.g. Ricco.

Wiggins 2009 onwards has actually been consistent in that he has followed closely the consensus voice of the "bunch". In 2007 he was a rogue.

Wow. The lengths these Bike Radar rejects will go to rationalize seeing the truth is amazing. Now we have reached the ultimate: What Wiggins' says doesn't mean anything because he is stupid. With homers like these, does he really need critics?

exactly. this is not lance armstrong we are dealing with. there's a reason he is great friends with cav. both are complete idiots, who are harmless but stupid. don't take much of what they say serious.

good question.

in that latest bbc sport interview he didn't mention the word 'clean' once.
I wonder if he's consistent in avoiding that word.
do we have record of Wiggins stating he's 'clean'?

Oh dont go full ***. The idea that dopers would risk their achievements, glory livelihood etc etc etc on not saying the word "clean", is one that actually does belong in an asylum.

Are you seriously suggesting that anyone committed to lying on that scale would have reservations about uttering a harmless word ?

That said wiggins and bailsford have used the word clean a million times. I remember the day after RD wiggins saying on the sky pr piece " I am shouting from the rooftops that we did it clean".

So yes there is a record of wiggins saying he is clean.

Indeed! That's why Cadel gushed about Lance, how he LOVED what he did for cycling!

Joachim, as we have facts (statements by Wiggo) that clearly show either schizophrenia or wanton missdirection, which do you choose?

Do not even try to argue facts against faith... strange enough it's always ignored.

granted.
I'm must admit I'm fascinated by the psychology of lying.
compare the two recent bbc sport interviews, Froome vs. Wiggins.
Provided both are lying, Wiggins is by some distance more convincing at it.
Froome is really uncomfortable in that interview, twisting his eyes, swallowing, no convincing answers. Wiggins stays quite calm, looks the interviewer in the eyes, and even has the composure to come up with that father-son story.

I find this the perfect comeback when confronted with undeniable facts. :D

You are clearly showing me who's the boss! Who needs facts when you can just toss out insults?!

What does this even mean? That sounds like a made up blanket statement to cover someone.

So what if he isn't very bright - you can still be consistent, but your opinions/facts might appear dumb or ill founded.
And Wiggins is not inconsistent - his statements are complete contradictions even though he had the same info.

I've absolutely no interest in 'covering' for Wiggins & for the record I think Sky are well dodgy.

No one in the Peleton was going take a pop at Armstrong in 2009 whatever their private feelings about him. He was too powerful & in those days Wiggins hadn't acquired the status in the sport he now enjoys.

I don't think there's much merit in over analysing what Wiggins says. He's asked a question & it just pops out.

Point being there is often more than two answers to a question. No insult intended.

I think Cav is a lot smarter than he's given credit for. He's badly educated & therefore ignorant but by no means stupid.

Who is "overanalyzing" anything? Its not like we have teams of lawyers on this. Its not like his supposed contradictions are based on an uncrossed t.

Its a very simple. He said 1 thing. He then pretends he didnt say it and says the opposite.

and anyone not on the sky mailing list takes 2 seconds to figure out something is not right there.

Wait. I'm losing track of this. What exactly is he pretending he didn't say?

Vaughters on Twitter confirmed that Wiggins knew the truth about Lance back in 2009 and he also says he had to deal with Wiggo worshiping Lance in 09.
Even if he forgot the story, he surely would have been reminded during the Tour.
