Watching Wiggins makes me respect Lance. Lance would never give in like this. Ever.

Wiggins is the softest GT winner since 1904.

Lance was such a tough guy when he had a couple of crashes on the way to Avoriaz in 2010 wasn't he?!

Most people on this thread are no fans of cycling. Celebrating failure more than you would success? Sickening.

I agree if he's to sick to continue. But if he gets better he would be of great help...how is that rubbish?

Continuing on while sick will not be a benefit to him or his team. He admits that he's not focused and that inattentiveness to the task at hand could lead to something worse happening, like a crash that could compromise his entire season. Better to pull out, get over what ails him and focus on getting his rear handed to him in the Tour.:D

Official Sky fangirl twitter says he is bothered by a sore knee.

First he loses time because he can't descend in the rain.

Then he loses time because of a puncture in the ITT.

Then he has a head cold.

Then a chest infection.

Now a sore knee...

The guy just can't catch a break, can he?

I see Walsh isn't allowed to report or tweet information from a racing perspective.

As he's embedded and around the environment of Sky, this is the precise type of information he should be disclosing to us in his role.

Nevertheless, don't let that get in the way of another cheap shot though.

The only place Walsh has been embeeded is firmly up the **** of Wiggins.

What happened to Walsh? He used to be good.

I would never wish someone has health problems in a race, but re-read this:
http://www.cyclingnews.com/news/wiggins-tips-nibali-as-the-man-to-beat-at-the-giro-ditalia
and you'll understand why so many people really dislike Wiggins. He is an egocentric, self-absorbed, over-valued rider at this Giro, and the scenario of him dropping out was just like I thought it would after the disastrous downhills in stage 3.

If he would have come into the race without the big words and suggesting he could even go for a Giro-Tour double (totally disrespecting his own team mate Froome), no wonder he gets a lot of trash back in his face.

This Giro (and most Giro's) are just a little too hard for a guy like Wiggins: too many curves, small roads, steep hills, flat stages with little hills in the end and slippery descents. Wiggins should have been a bit more humble and many of the fanboys were thinking he was some kind of unbeatable god, just because he has the best team around him (something he clearly hasn't deserved, even at last year's Tour).

I recall a Paris-Nice where Armstrong pulled out after a couple of stages because it was too cold for him.

Small stage race. Lance finsihed the 2010 Tour.

Respect for Lance over Wiggins.

Some recommendations to avoid losing time in rain and downhill
1) Umbrella keeping the body dry
2) Spiderman type suit keeping the water away
3) lobby the organisers to make transfers from mountain top to bottom of the bottom
4) Pray
5) Tow truck
6) Limit speeds to 50 kph
and so on:p.

You werent celebrating Contador's failure in TA and PV?

No. I just noted Froome was expectedly stronger on the particular stage and that's it. I praisetd that stage for the team effort, without estimating Contador strength/weakness.

So he´s in Italy right now, like Andy was in Tirreno in March. Wiggo´s flight to Heathrow could also include a stop in Munich. So if someone here on board will spend his weekend in Munich, he or she could visit the airport hotel, and watch out for a drunk guy in Sky clothing somewhere near an elevator. :)

If a girl like Taylor Phinney finishes ahead of you its time to give up.

In other words, real racing. It's a bit different than staring at your power meter while bored fans pray for an early death.

Oh come, on you cant say hes not become a huge sky bailsford and wiggins fan.

Look at what he said when Uran wasnt told to drop back for wiggins ( a decision anyone whos ever watched a race can make in their sleep
Dave Brailsford doesn't mind making tough (sensible) calls.

. Seriously?
And he makes no mention of the fact that he already ****ed up Urans gc chances by pulling him back 2 days earlier.

Or especially when he was praising wiggins for such a "gutsy ride in the rain" and talking about how unkind the gods were being to wiggins because he didnt want rain.

hes embedded in a team with 9 riders who rode in the same rain and in a race with 200 other riders who also rode in the rain. some of those sky riders actually had to go back and pull wiggins through those conditions, and do it for 1/10th of the salary and 0 of the glory.

But all Walsh sees when 200 riders ride 200km in the pouring rain is the rain gods specifically trying to hurt wiggins, and what a gutsy performance wiggins put in for finishing on the same time as 60 other riders.

Im not one of the guys going full hate on walsh or calling him a sellout or anything, but at the same time one cant deny hes acting like a 14 year old girl whos just met the lead singer of whatever boy band shes had a crush on the last 2 years

I guess some need a lesson into how Airstream works. Some still don't get it.

Airstream will always be against the general opinion of this forum just because. Trolling you can say.

A lot of people like Contador, let's bash him.

A lot of people like Nibali, let's bash him.

A lot of people dislike sky, let's support it.

I hope you get it by now.

Start liking a andy a lot and you'll see what happens then

Conan! What is best in life?

To crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentation of wiggins' fanboys.

Strictly speaking, I'm glad to be against general opinion here, given which this general opinion is on CN. What you call general opinion here Miburo IS capricious children who divide all the things on black and white, love / hate without impurities and enjoy from swimming in their own strong positive/negative emotions more than from racing. It's the 'general opinion' here, and you are one of the most its bright representatives. My stance is more neutral and it's a big deal not to be a part of 'general opinion' on here.

I never bashed Nibali. I called him not charismatic enough. There's big difference. You attack me and defend people who catch an absolutely unhealthy piggy rapture from Wiggins' defeat. Yes, it's definitely great to be out of general opinion which you support.
