Sure you may know all these things are going to come your way but that still does not mean you have to like it or can easily deal with it. How many sports men/women have cracked under pressure even when they have known it is going to be there? You can't just turn on being happy with something. I am sure over time he will look back with what he achieved and will be.Afrank said:He should have known going into the tour he would have to deal with pressure, stress, and suspicion. In my opinion he should just get over it and be happy that he won the Tour de France.

So I'm almost the last person to soak it up and know what it feels like. And I guess that will happen over time. A lot of it is relief. It's a little bit like when I won the Olympics for the first time in 2004.
There was a really good documentary on Victoria Pendleton (British track cyclist). When she finally won her Olympic gold medal she said she just felt numb. Not the feeling she had expected. People react differently to different occasions.
