He should have known going into the tour he would have to deal with pressure, stress, and suspicion. In my opinion he should just get over it and be happy that he won the Tour de France.
Sure you may know all these things are going to come your way but that still does not mean you have to like it or can easily deal with it. How many sports men/women have cracked under pressure even when they have known it is going to be there? You can't just turn on being happy with something. I am sure over time he will look back with what he achieved and will be.

This is from his Guardian column
So I'm almost the last person to soak it up and know what it feels like. And I guess that will happen over time. A lot of it is relief. It's a little bit like when I won the Olympics for the first time in 2004.

There was a really good documentary on Victoria Pendleton (British track cyclist). When she finally won her Olympic gold medal she said she just felt numb. Not the feeling she had expected. People react differently to different occasions.

out of actual contenders, only Andy can enjoy the Tour atmosphere to the full cos french public loves the man that always makes them so happy. :)

I'm sure he was having grand ol' time when he was crying for his mommie on that wet descent years ago.:p Or how about Chaingate? Boy I bet Andy looks back and really treasures the memories.;)

Well he did two greats ITT

If that's the case then we'll have many cycling movies

But seriously, wtf. What's so special about them? That he was an alcoholic and lucky enough that Froome was in his team and Contador didn't ride the tour.

I wonder how they will portray that, bs.

Well the Schlecks had a movie of TdF 2011 and they didn't win it.

Perhaps the TdF victory had a big impact in GB because they weren't a cycling nation. It could be only business

No need to buy it when it's released. Am sure you will be able to find it only a few months after, laying in one of those small baskets in front of stores with raindrops on the cover, costing a few euro. It's gonna be a sad sight...

http://www.cyclingnews.com/news/wigginss-achievements-set-to-become-a-hollywood-film

i'm always stating just how 'dull' wiggo is

anyone seen evidence of a 'larger than life personality?'

how could such a film be other than 'dull'

Well a few scenes from press conference where he goes Nutz should liven it up, :D. Depending on the rating that is; otherwise just; 'bleep' 'bleep' 'bleep'...and a few private scenes where he really let's loose :p

But on the bike is Boring.....story behind the bike might be more interesting!

So if you win the Tdf and your from Britian now, you get hollywood movies about you.

Thing is - his story is excellent...

Track ---> Amazing Tour ----> Epic Fail of 2010 ( Sad part of movie ) ---> Victory 2012.

It just fits a sports flim, great start, problems and the end is happy.

He loses and then he wins? That is an excellent story?

Im really regretting that Lance went down. Cancer and then 7 tdfs is a much better story.

+1
I think Lance's story would be the best story. How he fought cancer, then win 7 TDF, but now stripped all of them and who knows what the evidence might be. The raise and the fall of a legend. That's epic!

Wiggin? just won one Tour? how's that epic? Wait until next year first, if he can defends his title.. there might be a story there..

What about Contador then?

He almost died, had to fight against Armstrong in his team, overcome him. And then the clenbuterol-case where the movie can pretend it's a false accusation.

Following with the vuelta where he did a great solo on stage 17 and won the vuelta. Ending with the win in the tour'13 as the world champion.

What a great movie that would be lol

No none of them would make a particularly great movie other than the pantani movie because he is actually dead- tragedy element, and because he was so adored.

Achieved more than wiggins too.

I was just kidding, seemed obvious :D

It's just ridiculous that they put Wiggins so high.

Pantani had something mystique around him, don't know if a movie could bring that out about him.
