Who cares if he flips someone off. I'd do it as well if I just got hit by a car and someone was making pictures of me. Much worse things in cycling than flipping someone off. But apparently more people get upset by that than when someone buys a race.

Jojo you are just "different"

that doesn't surprise me at all. tell me when you walk in the street and someone bumps into you or does something that annoys you, do you flip him off too??

No I throw him off his bike when riding like you and your friends of course.

I'd rather make an obscene gesture than try and kill someone.

at least that isn't as chicken**** as flipping someone off in a car while riding away

I don't know what happend in the situation but I would be fairly frustrated and annoyed after a crash as well and then see a bunch british hyenas outside the hospital would just top it.

And who knows - he might be joking.

Yeah, causing someone to fall at high speed while in the safety of your car is the true definition of courage.

I never said I flipped people off, I said I don't care if someone does. I don't get hurt by such trivial things.

I might actually turn into a sky fanboy. :p

I saw that tweet, then it mysteriously dissapeared.

EDIT: Now only confirmed followers can read them, there must have been some backlash

I'm not surprised by that level of abuse from car drivers: its normal, for goodness sake. I shouted at one today who cut me up when he turn across traffic lights: what did he do? put the finger up at me. Was I bothered? No, it just felt normal.
What I do NOT like is Wiggins getting abuse from fellow cyclists in this instance: totally pathetic, some posters should be ashamed of themselves

Bradley Wiggins nominated for BBC Sports Personailty of the Year

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/sports-personality/20466947

Full List:

Wiggo
Sir Chris Hoy
Andy Murray
Ben Ainslie
Katherine Grainger
David Weir
Ellie Simmonds
Jessica Ennis
Mo Farah
Nicola Adams
Rory McIlroy
Sarah Storey

Wiggo should become the second consecutive cyclist after Cav last year to win it. Mo Farah and Andy Murray should round out the top three.

I hope Murray takes it. He's made such an improvement this year. Wiggins' victory isn't that special, it's only 7 years since an idiot of at least equal size on the Tour:rolleyes:

If Murray would've won Wimbledon it would be very easy to say:eek:

For some reason Andy Murray isn't that popular, though his acheievements are on a similar level to Wiggo

I thought Laura Trott would have made the list though, pesonally I wouldn't mind if Mo Farah or Wiggo won.

Mo is good choice too.
I heard that Andy is not that popular, its interesting.I dont live in GB but maybe its because of scotish origin? No?

No. Well, maybe an ill chosen joke about the england football team didn't help, but plenty of scots are popular.

He's just kind of moody and doesn't play particularly pretty tennis

Not sure it is his Scottish origin, people have no problem with Chris Hoy, more his surly attitude.

The only thing about the scottish thing is perhaps comments that he made in the past about England Football team, which some English (though not me) took an exception to me, (if I was scottish I wouldn't want England to win, I would say I don't want Scotland to win, abut as they never do anyway it does not bother me :D).

Given his achievements and the landslide win Cav had last year I expect Wiggins to win. I don't think Murray is that unpopular and expect him to be in the top three along with either Farah or Ennis. Plus a lot of people will have warmed to Murray after his emotional Wimbledon loss.

I'd have had Trott and Brownlee in my top 12 ahead of Grainger, Hoy or even Storey. Its a shame that so many of these sports only get the recognition in Olympic year. Its as if World Champs only count in athletics.
