I find it to be a bit sad, pathetic and ridiculous that he compared his performances and ways of riding with indurain

look here. wiggins will never do this. ever in his life.

Sounds like someone's grapes are sour. Really sour. Switch to plum wine.

I hammer on Wigans a lot, but he is riding with the form of his life, and I have to say that my predictions before the Tour that he wouldn't challenge there look to be foolish. To me, he looks to be capable of winning there. He has looked great in the Vuelta. Better than any of the haters (me included) imagined he would do.

How about not acting like a hack just once in your life...no, you don't appear to be capable of that...

Mollema: "I was absolutely at my limit today. Froome and Wiggins were riding like machines, they climbed at an incredible speed. But when I heard Nibali was dropped I had morale and just kept fixating on Wiggins wheel. I'm glad I could hold on"

Says enough I think.

In honor of Wiggins and Froome's magnificent performance today.

I didn't expect him to do it, but he did and all credit to him. But then I didn't think he's win the Dauphine either so shows what I know. Certainly the ride of his life and if he can hang on tomorrow, who knows?

interesting but well off the mark. Huge difference between two riders exploding up a mountain, leaving everyone for dust and winning convincingly, and two riders who rode tempo up a mountain, grinding and finishing behind a bloke who is ill.

That wiggins and froome might be up to whatever cobo and piepoli were doing? Don't know that they are, but honestly, would you be surprised if they were? I sort of like wiggins, he seems a funny and likable character, but come on.

I know, sorry about that. I always click the "new posts"-link, so I don't always notice if a thread is in the pro cycling forum or the clinic.

Win win situation for some people on here.

If he fails to win then they are validated in their comments that he never had a chance adn only an idiot 'that had never watched a bike race' would think he had a chance.

if he wins he only did so for tainted reasons and only an idiot who has never watched a bike race would believe otherwise

means they can happily keep going without ever paying the guy a compliment.

Glad to see in the majority people are being gracious. lot of i do not Brad but.., i did not think he had a chance but..

another great performance by Brad and Chris but what happened to Nibali? imploded.

The story of this Vuelta isn't anything extraordinary that Sky have done, it's the failure (to various degrees) of the favourites who had done the Giro (Nibali, Scarponi, Anton and Rodriguez).

There's nothing particularly surprising about Wiggins being less than a minute ahead of Mollema, Cobo and Fuglsang.

Honestly, I'm surprised and impressed by wiggins. Still can't picture him winning, but he's been way better on the climbs than I had imagined. Trying hard not to talk anymore of the forbidden matters, but I don't think he's more "tainted" than anyone else.

Surely it should be called something more British than a 'mafia'. A 'firm' perhaps, possible a 'crew'.

Firm would require us to ignore the race and arrange to meet the dutch out the back of the podium for a fight. so maybe...
