How many toffy birds you pulled this semester?

Get on one of those French exchange trips and you can pull French minge.

Those euros chics are so much more experienced than us British when it comes to shagging.

There's an episode of the Inbetweeners right here!

It's a sad day when the Canadian pontificate about how to speak French.

They sure know how to mash a beautiful language.
In other words, you finally agreed Brad's french in nothing near native, right? ;)

On a serious note:
Your hater comments about French Canadians are not really appreciated, and out of place. So if one follows your own particular logic, then English North Americans don't know how to speak English.

PS: Are you still on medication?

The only school trip we ever went to France on was to Boulogne, where the most exciting experience was some asylum seekers nicking stuff from us. Cue a 5 year old being chased through a shopping centre.

Still, French is a favourite subject of mine. And it helps when you can't find English feeds for races. :D

Should be noted that Brad is half Aussie. So his French is immaculate for an Australian.

Its true, and it took an Irishman to tell us that America and England are "two nations divided by a common language".

Teasing is fine, but you have to understand many European French speakers do look down on Québécois.

The world is like a drawing by Escher. Somehow everyone is simultaneously looking down on everyone else.

Update: Over in the appreciation thread Wiggo has already won the tour. He's putting 2+ minutes on everyone in the TT's and keeping up with them in the mountains.

Or more accurately on current form putting 2 minutes into Evans and keeping up with Evans in the Mountains.

You saw the chavs. I should have stated public (private) school students study French.

So a tiny minority is representative of the UK in both cases?

As of 2011 there were more than 2,600 independent schools in the UK educating some 628,000 children, comprising over 6.5% of UK children, and more than 18% of pupils over the age of 16

Looking at this thread I can't see much but the usual European anti UK jealousy. For decades us British fans have lauded performances of riders from other nations, partly because we didn't have much to shout about from our own riders and partly because we admire athletes because of their ability and flair. Now that we experience some success you get a load of brit bashing from countries that should know better if they profess to love cyclign as much as they do.

Wiggins the rider is getting plenty of praise on these forums (fora?), some of it is given grudgingly but still it is given. Wiggins the mouth is getting some stick.
Personally I like it when the riders speak out rather than giving safe PR friendly answers but it has a downside. I'm a wiggo fan but in this case he could have choosen his words more carefully. It reads like a sly dig at Contador.

As for the Anti-Brit thing, I don't see it. Take a look at the Schleck depreciation thread or one of the LA threads and its obvious that anyone shooting their mouth off gets a negative reaction regardless of their nationality.

Frankly, you can speak for yourself on that one. This thread has very little to do with the fact Wiggins is British.

And yes, I am a Wiggo fan.
