Some days ago Cavendish wanted Ferrari to apologize for non-sportive & dangerous behavior.

Now Italian tifosi filmed him being pushed for hundreds of metres in the mountains and being dragged by a car.

Question : will he apologize as well ?

Where can we see these clips. :)

Someone is making a bid for worst thread of the year and its not even July. I suggest that everyone just leaves this thread to Pisti and his little group of Cav haters who can all have a nice moan.

Just a small excerpt : http://www.hln.be/hln/nl/1296/Giro/...rit-waarin-hij-nipt-binnen-tijd-aankwam.dhtml

Without this help, he wouldn't have made the time cut.

Longer footage was broadcast all over Europe yesterday evening.

This is maybe 10 seconds. That is not a lot of pushing and not a huge help.
If there was (significantly) more, then he should be punished or fined.

Some pushing in the mountains is kind of (Italian, esp.) tradition, and if it doesn't really affects outcome of the race (in a sense of winning it), I don't think it is big problem.

And I am not Cavendish fan. Not even close.

Apparently there is a lot more footage which he is going to post in a bit though, that was just a teaser.

Everyone knows that Cav climbs about as well as he avoids accidents. Getting the occasional push from a fan is nothing, if the team car was giving assistance (no evidence) then that would be a different matter.

He still outclimbs us mere mortals and even top level amateurs, mind.

I think the videos themselves will be punishment enough. On top of actually having to ride the course, that is.

Bigger problem is that the timelimit axe actually never falls if big names are threatened. This is an endurance sport, after all.

Clinging to cars and being pushed up slopes is what pure sprinters do. Being a kamikaze and causing a crash is not.

Simple, and as old as cycling itself.

I guess you never saw abdoujaparov

You must have had access to the longer video featuring dragging by cars (and probably helicopters).

Can you post the link?

In video it is obvious that he is suffering like a dog.
Some help for a nonclimber in world champion jersey is OK with me.

I don't think he'll apologize for now but he will find an excuse to leave the Giro. Later on, full of shame, before the Tour, he will call a press conference where he'll apologize to all his fans.
