Cav is not a Petacchi or Cipollini sized rider so has to fight to stay on the wheel he is on. That takes both physical effort and mental strength. That saps your energy just as much.
I hope some newbies are not reading this. #weak

The fact of the matter is that is Cav gets help, and that help will get him within the time cut is not fair to guys like Goss who did his work himself. So picture this, the next day, Cav wins, and Goss is 2nd, when in fact he [Cav] shouldn't have been in competition to start with.

I complained. I thought Geelong was good. Sprinters had a shot if they were strong enough to get over the hills, a break had a shot, but Gilbert was too strong for his own good and noone would work with him. Mendriso was probably too hard, but noone complains when only the absolute strongest end up at the sharp end.

Exactly. Even courses like Salzburg or the Worlds when Vainsteins won were just about tough enough to make it a race.

So if they made the cut by 10 seconds, I would then say it helped them, otherwise, that 25yds of pushing didn't do one thing to change any result in the race with anybody who got a little push.

Troll TS who would be walking his bike up any of those climbs, or just quit and go sit in the car likely after 120 miles of that brutal terrain.

They made the cut by 30 seconds, but getting pushed made no difference?

Can we stop arguing about whether Cav was a worthy world champ or not? He won the race fairly, he is the world champ.

Yes, it's technically illegal, but it only provokes such faux moral outrage because it's Cav. A rider on the attack trying to draft the TV motorbike is technically illegal, a guy who's crashed borrowing the slipstream of cars is technically illegal, but no-one seriously wants people to be kicked off the race for that.

People have been pushing riders up mountains since there were crowds on the mountains. I am pretty certain that if Cav had climbed off his bike and given the tifosi a lecture on the laws of the race he would have received a slap in the face from the guy trying to help, and the exact same posters on here would be ranting about how his undeserved rainbow stripes have made him arrogant and think that he's better than everyone else. He can't win.

Permanent bans suck. Ryo might be a pile of contradiction and bias but these sort of characters keep forums from being dull.

Dull? Being aggressive and patronizing stop this forum from being dull? Aha.. It's been a mess since he wrote his first comment. I'm on this forum to discuss cycling not to read this tiresome crap that has now started for the hundred time this season. The sad thing is the mods know it as well. It's the same every single time. Every single time.

So we got people discussing Ryo in Cav-related thread, forgetting about Cav.
We got people talking Cav in Henao thread, forgetting about Henao.

And Ryo's the one who's making this forum ****ty?

Obviously comments crying about him are much more productive. Internet is full jerks, deal with it.
