No one seems to know.
What I have read on the subject he had blood clots in his brains, then they discovered his illness in the vessels. Blood clots can come from certain PED's we know.

He didn't have blood clots in his brains. I have read this as well but it is incorrect. The thing is that the capillaries clot together, which might have been translated wrongly. His seizure was because of a hemorrhage which was the consequence of this thing experts call a "cerebral cavernoma" (I am no expert mind)

And, why does someone be titled as a hater when they have serious questions about certain riders? Don't be a baby.

I don't title someone a hater when they question Alberto. If so I'd have to call the entire forum Alberto haters which is certainly not true. Some posters show tremendous hatred towards him like for example Foxxy. So Foxxy I call a hater.

I am really sure. But people who can't enjoy watching Alberto race and don't understand why others like him/enjoy watching him race, that are haters in my mind.

You can't affect on people attitude towards Contador, but you desperately try.

What?!

It looks to me like you all are trying to change my attitude towards Alberto not the other way around! Am I saying that you should all like Alberto? Am I saying you should all believe Alberto is as clean as a whistle? No. But you are saying I should "admit" and "acknowledge" Alberto's a doper, and some even say I can't like Alberto because he's a doper and that it's a bad attitude if I do like him. Can you not see how incredibly stupid that is?

Are you sure about this? I mean really sure? :)

FWIW, I have explained to Fleur in PM why I was critical of AC and she didn't seem to hold it against me

Surely you got it backwards... Fleur might be outspoken about her fandom, but that's really about it. All I can see is people trying to push their opinion on AC on her....

Don't want to stirr up anything here but do you know who was the head of the hospital where Contador was saved?

Could all be a coincidence of course. Just like former Goldman Sachs members cleaning up wallstreet in the Obama government that is...

I am not going to help her, it would be too devastating.

"A la ONCE llegó de la mano de Nicolás Terrados, director de la Unidad Regional de Medicina Deportiva de Asturias, un centro actualmente subvencionado por el Gobierno Autonómico y por el Ayuntamiento de Avilés, que funciona desde 1984"

Okay??????? Are you trying to say he could've been the head of the hospital or what?

Stop being so cryptic I want to know, what is his connection with the hospital Alberto was treated in (we don't even know which anyway)

''When race leader Luis León Sanchez won stage one of the Vuelta Ciclista Asturias in May 2004 he was part inspired by the dreadful crash that had seen his good friend Alberto Contador taken into hospital. On admission to the Hospital Central de Oviedo, the doctors thought the clot which tests detected in his head were the result of the fall''

Google translate into English will help.

No don't worry I can read Spanish.

Aaah I see... :) :)

Alberto was taken to the hospital in Oviedo, was diagnosed with a broken jaw and after ten days he was allowed to go home. Then in Pinto, Madrid, two weeks later, he again had a seizure and was brought to a hospital in Madrid, where they found out there was something in his brains. First they thought it was a tumor, but after further investigation they discovered it was a cerebral cavernoma.

Sometimes it's good to know the whole history of a rider ;)
