So now TdF become an affair between 2 dopers (Contador, Valverde) and a Ferrari client (Nibali)

The great new clean era of cycling is upon us!

Like I said in other thread; I hope they crash too for the reason you mentioned.

Or better, let them all test positive. But of course that's a dream.

Relax my pretty one, it aint going to happen!

Yeah, he can take less risks now. Contador isn't going to fail the IQ test twice. Only way he could was if he was just a bit behind Froome on the second rest day and they decide to inject a bit more blood than they usually felt safe doing.

But then again, would that really trip a wire on the blood passport?

Yeah it's really unfortunate we've been deprived of a credible, clean and likeable winner like Froomey. :rolleyes:

Contador used to train in the Sierra Nevada but I don't think he stayed at altitude. I trust De Jongh on this one, not sure why he'd lie about it, and it's consistent with the story that after Contador stopped working with Marti, his training wasn't structured properly and he was just doing what felt right.

Stage 8

That performance from Saxo and Contador on Stage 8 looked highly dubious to me. And Nibali and Porte stayed with him, more or less.

IMLACH: Tinkoff-Saxo rode like SKY but not to any great effect?

Yeah, I found it pretty humorous to see the TSpostal train obliterate the field. Horner's post race commentary on NBC afterwards was pretty enlightening. He basically said that the peloton hadn't slowed down a bit even without the sky train. It looks like that not only has Contador doped to the max, he has had his helpers doped to the max as well. I can only imagine what the carnage would've been like with Kreuziger and Hernandez.

It also shows that Contador's tactics are likely to be pretty simple this year, despite the romantic notions of him making daredevil long range attacks.

Does "training at altitude" mean

A.) Doping at altitude;
B.) Doping;
C.) ?

Thanks

Training at altitude is bad. It is like training while breathing through a straw. You can't get any air to get the muscles to do their normal turnover rate.
You think you are training very hard, but you aren't.
When you return to sea level, your rbc count will drop and your training turns out to be all fictitious.

They use altitude to explain fluctuations in the blood passport as living on altitude will increase red blood cell count.

"Now cycling is all about numbers and big data. Watts per kilogramme and stuff. We know Rafal's numbers, we know Nibali's numbers more or less because they raced together and we know Alberto's numbers. With the numbers that we have, we believe Alberto would have been three minutes ahead. Of course it's all virtual and so the debate goes nowhere, but we believe Alberto would have won and won quite easily."

Cant tell if Oleg is trolling or not..

"Dave Brailsford is a very talented manager. I've only met him once and so can't really judge him, but I respect him and what he's done," Tinkov said.

Because Alberto dopes in a classier way than Froome ;)

In any case, Oleg will get "only" Vuelta in his prepaid "freeride" year. But at least they don't get crappy to resort to a thrashtalk of marginal pillows and handwashing (like the sky-high doped brailsfraud's donkey-to-racehorse guys needed as an excuse for their performances in their prepaid 2 years).
