What about Astana's bus being searched last year?

Well french police clearly have information (hence the afld's desire to test), and if its related to the syringes there is no reason why they cannot bust a few hotels.

I'm sure the police will be watching and searching. Likely there will be reporters watching too. Wasn't it TV reporters who caught the USPS syringe/meds dump at a roadside rest stop?

What will be interesting is seeing how many tantrums Big Tex throws if he's constantly hounded by police and a media scrum. His ToLux displays will pale in comparison.

can I just clarify, when i say "find stuff" i mean doping products, pariphinalia etc, not levi's porn collection or some dodgy imported cigarettes.

Which is why I mentioned it in this topic.

Doing a hotel will prove no different to doing the bus last year.

well either RS are riding clean, or they are only popping off somewhere secret on rest-days then.

He is clearly agitated. How thin has his skin become? I was under the impression he was some unflappable piece of PR iron.

Decomposition comes in many forms.

I predict a bust. Can't yet predict the team but Saxo could be the ultimate target.

Have they not made a donation to the french police benevalent fund yet???

Surly at least $100,000 should save any fuss,

Sure there will be all sorts of speculation but nothing ever happens.

I had my room tipped over by the French Police once when I was working a holiday job in a hotel in the French Alps. And I say 'tipped' because they literally tipped it over, like emptied my waste bin and wardrobe contents all onto the floor, kicked my stuff around. The French police are absoloute dogs IMO. Well in the Rhone-Alpes anyway. I wouldnt like to have them tipping over my team bus. When they were done with my room they just laughed at me and said : "Haha clean up your room"

the police shall be watching and searching not so much the hotel rooms of the shack riders and personnel but the ‘visitor’ accommodations and belongings.

as we know so well from the other busts, those visitors travel from afar to bring ’gifts and refreshments’ and tend to rent flats adjacent to the hotels the riders stay in.

only one 30-minute visit to the 'friend’s flat', could win the tour.

good thing that there is an ongoing criminal investigation in france, and it shouldn’t be too difficult to obtain a surveillance warrant.

also i believe, the eu laws on personal surveillance are less stringent than in america.

I say they roll his room for two reasons:

1. For effect

2. Because they can.

You'll notice "because they expect to find something" isn't on my list.

Dinners with Sarkozy have advantages.

I realise it's a stupid question to ask of a greedy sociopath, but is the guy so obstinate that he doesn't think his participation is going to attract derision, negative attention and scandal to the Tour?

The ASO and UCI may promise all the protection they can feebly offer, but they do not speak for the Gendarmerie and on-the-make politicians and prosecutors who are anything but insouciant at his presence in their race this year.

It's going to be hair-raising and fun, but it's potentially going to be a very black time for all concerned.

Thanks a fookin lot Lance, you coont! Stay retired! Tap co-eds and celebrity bimbos and just pi$$ the fook off already.

Oh, and get a lawyer, get a real good one.

EDIT: We want our race back. It's shaping up to be a sideshow to the continuing adventures of a dangerous mind.

All of the teams and riders are on the defensive after Landis Gate. I doubt any of them will get caught unless they are just careless and arrogant. I would think that Contador may get caught, he is the clear favorite and has not had as much time as Lance to refine his methods under scrutiny.

Radio Shack has perfected the art of doping and getting away with it over the years as Postal, Discovery, and Astana team.

Or, maybe Lance will 'tweet AC's whereabouts during one of his 30 minute excursions to get re-charged.

You know, I always wondered about Lance's breakup with Sheryl Crow. There she was, by his side, all during the 2004 Tour. Surely she couldn't have been staying in the same room as him. Did she have a separate room? I've always wondered what she saw, and whether -- if she did see anything -- that had any influence on the breakup.

Anyway, I think the police will search Shack, Saxo and Astana rooms and/or buses, but I'm hoping there'll be a big Giro-style hotel raid with riders jumping out windows. Regardless, nothing will come of it except a small gang of third-tier riders will get suspended sentences after a years-long judicial process.

Didn't Floyd say they kept blood frozen in that fridge in the Verona house? Didn't he say that LA asked him to stop by to make sure they didn't defrost or something?

It would seem to me that even in a big *** Sub Zero ahalf dozen blood bags might stickout a bit in next to some ice cubes.

As for will they search the RS hotel, not sure.

I think Rod Stewart had the same problem back in the day.

Is anyone claiming Armstrong is a nasty person?
