Yep, completely serious about Affleck to direct, not act in it. Gone Baby Gone, The Town, Argo. He's building a pretty impressive resume for a director.

Ben Affleck has surprised lots of people, including myself. I had previously thought of him as the irrepressible, "Bennifer," and as Matt Damon's sidekick.

actually a few years back when they were talking about a Lance movie the fav to play him was jake gyllenhaal. They actually were seen riding alot on PCH, then the brokeback jokes started and the movie was set aside.
Years ago Steve Tesich(breaking away) was working on a screenplay on the tour called "Yellow Jersey" but it had lots of rewrites and never got off the ground. If they make a Lance movie i vote for "Dirty Yellow Jersey"
Goldie Hawn as Lance's mother
then Kate Hudson can play Lance's first wife
Oh and then to keep it in the family, Johan can be played by Kurt Russell.
and we have to find a role for Mark Paul Gosselaar don't know if he made cat 1 but he was cat2 in between filming some of his shows so the guy can ride.

A New Line cinema/Wingnut film production: Lord of the bracelet - one juice to rule them all

In the 20th century, the dark roleur Lance tries to overcome the peloton and the entire cycling world by using his yellow bracelet as cover and protection. Lances "life force" is bound to this very item allowing him to save his face even when times gets darker, thanks to the survival of the one bracelet. The bracelet is able to corrupt and influence its bearer and destroys everyone using it. But there are some in this world who is able to resist its power.

The Union of the two federations:

While edging closer to the truth with new findings about the dark roleurs whereabouts with the shifty helps from the likes of Hamilton, the USADA fellowship makes a stand against the ally UCI and their covering up of a corrupted doctor from Ferrara and his link to the lord of the bracelet.

The return of the king:

The epic closure of how the exiled Tygart lead the world of (juice-free) men against Lances army of lawyers until the dark roleur choose to step down from the fight. When drawing the gaze from one mans whereabouts he is also on the footsteps of a Mount Doom-of evidence against the corrupted federation, leading the battle further.

OT: for those who appreciate bad sports films, check our Fast Girls. Gloriously bad, especially the scenes where the girls are supposed to be running a 200m at world class pace. They had to pull some serious tricks to make it look less like jogging and more like sprinting. Problem: stride length, it totally shows. The story line is touching though.
