What about "pretty little liars"? :D

Lol, that photoshop makes Lance look like such a creep leering behind all the pretty girls.

Starting off with a little OT:

It is hard to miss that most of these women are somewhat similar: down-to-earth blond lasses with Cheshire cat grins and small waistlines. Does he have a type?

"Everyone says that!" says Armstrong, moodily. "Everyone says I have a type! Of course I have a type. But doesn't everyone have a type? So shut up!"

Um, isn't that type a little like your mom?

"Now, hold on a minute there, " he says, laughing. "That's just gross."

Surely there's a place for this guy!

Surely there's a place for this guy! - Johan Bruyneel perhaps? maybe Ferrari - has gotta be a shoe in though!

I've tried to think of someone for Lance but can't come up with anyone - i think he should play himself and give any money he made to the UCI for furthering their anti-doping stance - he should be bar any incriminations now.. Perhaps?

Also there should be a place in this movie for the Hoff

season_one.jpg

Not completely sure who he should play but maybe Kimmage - he is after all the lone crusader against evil!

Patrick Stewart is far too erudite to be Phil Liggett. For the truly nonsensical ramblings of that maniac, I can't look past Keith Richards.

Just saw this..neworld picked a great cast...
Also cineteq..

Phil Liggett...how about Rod Stewart...?:D
I know he's not an actor but....

Oh oh oh.....just spotted the Rowan Atkinson! Perfect!

I think your right about Patrick Spencer I'd go along your lines and push the boat out a bit further and suggest Bruce Forsyth as Phil Liggett there is someone that can naturally spout nonsensical ramblings of a maniac..

Pat McQuaid Character

Have thought about this one a bit originally thought of Frank Spencer (Michael Crawford - Some Mothers Do Have em') - For more than obvious reasons!

snn2237bb-280_913098a.jpg

Then thought maybe Jimmy Cricket just for his boots being marked L & R boots!

But after more thought - there is only one contender for me and that has to be

He is without doubt the leading candidate for this job, smug, arrogant, mendacious - a complete and utter joker! Anyway...

There needs to be some casting ideas from the Fanboy point of view, you know, just for laughs ;)

A few of my suggestions:

Lance: Ryan Reynolds
Johan Bruyneel: Dennis Quaid
Bob Roll: Jeff Daniels
Paul Sherwin: Pierce Brosnan
Pat McQuaid: Robbie Coltrane

Travis Tygart: Hugo Weaving
John Fahey: Ian McDiarmid (I'd have him as my choice for Hein normally :))
Paul Kimmage: Christopher Ecclestone
Betsy Andreu: Rosie O'Donnell
JV: Michael Cera

Not sure he can come across as evil enough for McQuaid. The only bad guy role I've seen him in for years is "A Muppet's Christmas Carol" :D

Maybe Christopher Ecclestone or Ewen Bremner as Phil Liggett?

As for Caine being evil, watch "the statement"...

Who is playing Landis, Carmicheal, Basso, Ullrich, Vino, Beloki ?

I am thinking Rutger Heuer as Bruyneel
Johnny Depp as Johnny Vaughters
Daniel Day-Lewis as Hincapie (Think Last of the Mohicans)
Bob Hoskins as Pat McQuaid
Gary Bussey as Lance
Danny De Vito as Mark Cavendish

Lance - As himself (donates fee to UCI for anti-doping)
Johan Bruyneel - Steve Buscemi
Pat McQuaid - Louis Walsh
Travis Tygart - Kiefer Sutherland (in Jack Bauer guise)
Floyd Landis - Alexi Lalas
George Hincapie - (Young) Robert de Niro or Uri Geller
Michele Ferrari - Jasper Carrot
Tyler Hamilton - David Hassellhoff ? ( Not sure on this one just going on recent photos just think the Hoff should be in the film)
Phil Liggett - Bruce Forsyth although quite like Victor Meldrew

This is why he'd be perfect. Stewart would play Liggett as a Shakespearean fool or like the addled King Lear at the end.

For a title, you want something with a little gravitas:
Something in the Blood
Ice the the Veins

I'd pay to watch this movie just to see Bushemi as Motoman. LOL!!! :D
Emily Blunt yes!

Baldwin as Charmichael? He has the BS factor.
Cotillard as some French reporter, and how about some random shots of Johansonn just lying in bed? ;)

Great.

What about you being the casting and executive director.

I'd help fund that movie, seriously.

Lets send the script over to Micheal Moore, he loves docu-drama's rich in social and ethical malfeasance no?

I'd love to, but let's be realistic.

We're in big sync! Moore would be very interesting, although he hasn't done anything different than a doc yet. How about Coyle helping make the screenplay? The script is the key though, as always.

I'd reserve a leading role for Becky Livingston playing herself, from family archive footage. Although that'd be a bit off-topic.
But yeah, Johanssen could do some screen filling also. Perhaps a podium girl seeing something and being told to forget that, or her modelling career?
