I don't follow junior racing much.
But I'm glad to see USA take 2nd and 4th.
I have been keeping an eye on Ashlin Barry, but this is the first I've heard of Beckham Drake.

You Americans really need to tone it down with the ridiculous names. What's next, Bergkamp Snoop?

Fun fact: Both Barry and Capello will turn 18 on Thursday.
Which means that they did the ITT as minors, but will be doing the RR as legal adults.

Goddamnit, so i was right the first time. I think i was probably just checking age instead of birthyear. Both Americans still have to turn 18 this year. Means they still are over half a year younger than Mouris though.
Mouris is the third-oldest winner of the junior TT. Considering that the rest of the top four consists of Jurgen Van Den Broeck, Remco Evenepoel and Josh Tarling, I doubt that what little age gap there is will bother him much.

I don't think i said anything about it bothering him. But not only does that list not mean anything unless you assume riders born in jan-feb are better riders by default, you also are missing some context. Evenepoel became WCC JR ITT by 1m24s to Plapp and 1m38s to Piccolo. Tarling won by 19 and 33 seconds. Mouris by 6 and 8 seconds. Van Den Broeck barely won and went on to neglect ITT's to become a climber.

The point was that when you win by a handful of seconds from a guy over a year younger, that age difference is very likely what made the difference in this age category. If you win by 2 minutes, that age difference would likely not have mattered.

- Michiel Mouris and Gijs Schoonvelde (Netherlands)

I didn't catch how the previous group with Noval was made, but the race has been reset with 35 km to go as the peloton caught the breaks.
