Fun fact: until tomorrow both Milesi and his GF Guazzini are technically u23 ITT WCs.
I do rate Milesi, he's got a Remco style background. Former football player who started cycling at the age of 16, after an ankle injury. 15 months later he was 2nd at the junior iTT NC, behind the one year older Piccolo, but ahead of the also one year older Tiberi, who won the junior WC ITT the same year.
Last year Segaert only lost 2 ITTs, one against Milesi. He also has good recovery, last year in the Tour de l'avenir (and one year earlier in the Ayuso baby Giro) he got better and better on consecutive mountain stages. Only 37th on the unipublic MTF, then 12th on the la Toussuire mountain stage while being the only domestique left in the race for Piganzoli and Fancellu and then he won the final mountain stage over the Iseran from te breakaway (by dropping Segaert uphill).
