Why does this TT have 2:30 between the first 15 starters and then 1:30? I mean I know it‘s there so there are less overtakes, but it‘s just weird.

I got really confused there. I thought the bigger start-gap was between the earlier starting riders, rather than - as usual - the later.
It's the 15 last starters with the bigger gap between them.

Although tomorrow’s race is probably a truer test of who is the best, and thus world champion, TT-er, I realize I’m not as enthused about it as a GT ITT. The latter has the multiple elements of both stage/podium winner and GC gaps, and sometimes a climbing jersey points thrown in as well.
I supposed you can argue that to be true with any type of GT stage vs. on day race, but it’s most obvious with a TT. No criticism intended for those who think a TT championship is the more exciting.

No, it is between the first 15 riders.

Okay, that is weird. Usually it's the last starters who have the biggest gap between them, because riders overtaking each other is gonna have a bigger impact on the result.
Are they concerned about Edward Oingerang overtaking Qais Haidari?

Perhaps they had already made the start list, but then some of the earlier starters pulled out.

Is Remco the most aero man ever?

Lots of noise going round about riders complaining that the descent is dangerous, perhaps a change coming?

Neutralize the descent!

No but who even gave the green light for this. Wasn’t even thinking about the rain. Could be a disaster waiting to happen at 110km/h speeds.

Nice long balanced course but it would have been better if they did it from the opposite direction to avoid the super fast descent and have harder climbs.

Given the hills in the course its hard to see anyone but Remco taking gold as the flat sections are very straightforward which should also help him against Tarling or even Roglič.

The remaining places are harder to predict but I am going with Küng for silver as he has the home advantage and really impressed me in the Vuelta. Tarling to take bronze again ahead of Roglič and Ganna.

They appear to have lost the riders.
They were showing some kids going around on a tiny bendy velodrome inside a big velodrome, and it looks like there was crash.

But now they found the riders again.

That crash will probably be shown in the trailer for the next season of Tour de France: Unchained.
