I would love someone outside the big 4 to win this race, then the forum going berserk saying they're not worthy winner because they've done nothing of note all year.
Which is the issue with cycling's Worlds compared to a motorsport World championship which is season long; one race championships can allow a 'fluke' win.

So how is it the director's fault if (and it is purely an if) the cameraman had passed it before he noticed it?

That wasn't what you said. You said that the limited number of cameramen was the problem, not the eyesight of the cameramen.

And still it wouldn't explain them not showing Bilbao again or showing a slow of the crash.

No: I proposed that as a possible reason why it is not the fault of the director, who can only choose between the images he/she has available. The limited number of cameras is a factor in that, not the only one. While you had leapt to the assuption that the director was the person at fault.
TV Director again, we need a proper cycling man

Again, more motos wouldn't help.

It's not like the riders were spread in a hundred groups at the time of the crash.

Exactly, and depending on who does win this race, they will be known as the best cyclist in the world, or a lucky world champion.

Nevertheless, unless you know that the director had the image to show, you can't blame him/her for not showing it.

Plenty over which one can criticise the coverage in general, but one individual over one incident is not something that can be justified on the evidence we have.

Just tuned in, kind of bummed this week-long, rainy Swiss odyssey is coming to an end. All good things must...

It's a battle between the magnificent mustaches - Campenaerts and Cort are the obvious frontrunners, but I think McNulty and Jay Vine are very worthy contenders. And Campenaerts is currently pulling -

I love you, Victor!

Half our riders at the back and everyone dotted around the peloton rather than riding together, as is tradition in international men's events. Maybe one of our 5 leaders can fluke a top 10 or something today. Come on British cycling sort it out, the answer is clear, surely only one man can manage all these egos.
