I think it's the other way around; you're not watching because you know - or think you know - that it won't be entertaining.

Agree with the last bit, though; no such thing as an entertaining football match.

If a rider can't be caught by a group consisting of ten of the world's best riders, after 2-3 hours of chasing, then tactics and all other factors are irrelevant.

Usually a group like that does not cooperate very well.

Pog's worst crime is turning cycling into marathon running, or worse. Drafting doesn't really count anymore when your aerobic capacity is a level or two higher than everyone else's. Then you can just go whenever you want and win at will.

Probably makes the sport more marketable though. But it's very difficult to get excited about this
