Im really going to miss this. Such a beautiful discipline it deserve better, but it just doesnt fit in stage races unfortunately.

I really wish they were making TTT's with national teams. I think the way it is now, this just doesn't fit into a world championship

Better just make it for national teams. Would be more interesting IMO.

Was a nice race altho I only caught the last 10 teams or so. I love long ITT/TTTs.

It's too bad the reputation of cycling is in such ruins, TTT would be an excellent discipline for the Olympics too.

Agreed. All that aside tho, I would prefer that, but Im aware of its implications...

I think Asgreen would do better than Kragh and Toft Madsen on wednesday, but I understand why those two were preferred.

I haven't seen anything here but accorcing to NOS and Sporza there wil be 'relay' race next year. First part is a 3 man TTT for men followed by a 3 woman TT.
I don't know if it's just an idea or a serious plan.

I don't really like this. I'm not a fan of mixing men and women races together be it any sport.
I guess they don't want a 6 (or even 4) man / woman TTT because only the biggest countries can field 4-6 strong TTers but still... it would be better. It's the same situation for every team sport anyway.

Pretty sure the TTT will be back next year as National TTT. That's was the last thing I read about it.

I don't like it much either. I can understand small teams but make it 2 sperate events. Unless it's a really short distance the Dutch would be runaway winners. The men can compete with any team and the woman, just imagine a team of van der Breggen, van Vleuten and Van Dijk.

Yeah, the Dutch women would crush it... and wouldn't really matter that the men squad was first or 10th.

This would make sense. I assume one of the problems for national TTT's is that you would need 6 TT bikes per nation and as I think the national TT's aren't ridden with the bikes the riders usually use but bikes specifically for the event, affording 6 TT bikes might be a problem for smaller nations. However every team has two TT bikes anyway for the ITT, so this format wouldn't cause as big of a financial problem.
