Ask the conservitives why the prodigal arabian son wasn't blown to smithereens about three days after 9-11...?

Other than liberal softliners.

Yes. I'm so glad you are here to save us from ourselves. For we are the true evil in the world.

Does that about sum up your feelings about your country?

Listen Pal, if you think Libs are going to hold the messiah to his own words, you are sadly mistaken. All that matters is 'They Care' and by implication 'You Don't' After all, you want to keep your money when they have so many good intentions that they want to use your money for.

He kept his promises on transparency. Remember all those healthcare discussions on C-Span? Oh, you didn't see them. Wonder why!

Charity is so easy when it's someone else's dough. You Selfish bazztid! :D

CSPAN broadcasted all the committee hearings and all of the floor debate.

If you'd like to see them equipped to follow them up and down the halls, in and out of offices you can call for an increase in their budget. :D

Good luck getting Republican votes for THAT. Republicans being the party that let drug makes write Medicare Prescription Benefits law, bankers write banking regulations and oil companies write energy law.

Yes. I read this liberal talking point yesterday too.

Funny, now you are at odds with Obama himself who has admitted making a mistake by not keeping his campaign promise of transparency regarding healthcare/c-span.

America IS a force for good in the world.

You know, other than the time when we, like, invade the wrong country and stuff.

Ok, now I'm confused. Are we only a force for good when liberal Presidents are dropping sidewinder missles on the islamic freedom-fighters?

Funny. The administration and their bought-and-paid-for-prees-corps can't seem to get on the same page with this issue.

The teleprompter clearly made a mistake during the Diane Sawyer interview.

The teleprompter is a wascawy wepubwican. Madame Truffaut's Obama mannequin won't look as plastic as the real Obama.

Stupid question. What would you have us do? We unsettled a country if not an entire region, if we pulled up stakes tomorrow we would have to bring everyone who cooperated with us back too.
Plus we haven't found Osama yet, that was the whole plan 8 years ago right?

Stupid? No. Facetious? Absolutely.

Rhubroma asked who is protecting the world from the USA. Then CarbonCrank states we are a force for good. I needed some clarification.

As to your second point... seems like the region has been unsettled for centuries although I'm not sure if you are talking about Iraq or Afghanistan.

Facing the ongoing instability for a millenium doesn't allow him to make the case that the evil Americans are to blame for their woes.

If you claiming Sadamm Hussein was an "Islamic freedom fighter", then you are coo coo, nutso, not to mention ignorant. He waged war against Iraq for a decade and didn't tolerate al-Qaeda as Afghanistan did.

Hussein was a bad guy, but he was a secular bad guy, not an "Islamic freedom fighther".

I believe that SoCal was talking about the great Liberal President of budget cuts, Clinton who sent some sidewinders into Afghanistan.

Care to identify which liberal President dropped missles on Hussein?

Who "he" are you referring to? Your comments confused me before but now I'm completely lost.

You brought Hussein in to the dialogue when I was not referring to him.

The US has been backing Islamic freedom fighters in this area on and off for a 5 or 6 decades. All our intel on the region said that the growing..growing poppy/hash problem would be hard to overcome. Now we are not going to use weed killer because that runs the displaced farmer into the arms or the Taliban or fortifies the position of the local warlord. These guys handed a modern army a defeat right in front of our eyes. The area has never been stable. Poppies= profit. But if anybody knows how to pay farmers not to grow things,we do. When Luke oil signed the deal with the US installed Iraqi government that had to hurt Bush's feelings. The thing I hate most about this..Paris-Dakar reroute. That's why I want to wipe the fundamentalist from the planet.S America just ain't the same.

They defeated the Russians because we were funding and arming them. There is a different set of circumstances now. Hunker down long enough and it will sort itself out. Any desperate culture turns to war and religion when there is no stabilizing force in their midst. (look at Scott, Central C Biker, and Ravens)

So true regarding the US paying it's growers to NOT grow anything. Big mistake to go down that path here, but I think it works over there.

More proof that statistics can tell any story. So, from your own list;

Left leaning posts - 988
Right leaning posts - 924

Left leaning posters - 10
Right leaning posters - 3

It's a good thing the three of us are here otherwise the rest of you would have nothing to discuss.
