Martin is going to give it 110% no matter what. Canc is either going to beat that or he isnt. Making Martin feel safe accomplishes nothing.

Maybe in a few years if Martin wins 2 or 3 worlds and decides he wants other targets in the season besides Tour and worlds but until then, Martin is going to destroy all life in his world tts as Ruben likes to say.

He's yet to win 1 after-all.

Goss's odds are $19 and I think that is quite generous of the books. He should be more like $30 on current form.

Umm no. Goss has been a favourite because he's been Plan A for Australia for a long time. There is more than a Plan A I'm sure, so he may not be there best finisher but hype? There is no hype, far from it, everyone seems to think he's destined for failure so where you'd pulled that one from?

Goss has certainly been hyped up. He has shown no from what so ever.

If it comes back together I'd probably have Hepburn as the man to sprint it and I think he has the power on this sort of finish.

Same goes for the Juniors, if it's a hard race Linfield would have to be a favourite.

Gilmore is a good chance for the medal but I think it will be hard for the U23 men. They don't really have a big sprinter. Hepburn has a decent kick but I wouldn't really call him a big sprinter.


The mens team will not do that well imo. Have little confidence in what the team can do.

I'd like to see Millar win the TT, it won't happen but it'd be nice.

I can see the RR going to a sprint finish, I think too many teams want it to, and if it does I'd back Cav or Greipel, probably Greipel on this finish.

I can second that, but he says he doesn't like the course because it's too technical.

What do you think Ciolek's chances are? I saw him riding good in the Canadian races. Thing is he's been relatively quiet for a while.

The german team are riding for Greipel as far as I know so he may be asked to do a job and forget about having a go himself.

I think it's the kind of course where someone could get a suprise jump and if enough people hesitate they could go the distance so you never know.

I can't seem to get a start list for the elite men's time trial. On the official website, there is only the registered riders (the short list, not the final starters) and on the Tissot website, the pdf file does not work.

Only Edwards can challenge Wurtz-Schmid for Gold now, might get a medal at the expense of the Swede.

It's exciting for Edwards. I think Tony will win in the Men's ITT. Cancellara though will be on good form as he needs to for the RR. I hope Porte can go well, a top 5 finish would be good for him, as the course does not suit him.

Ciolek has looked good in Canada. He also seems to be good going uphill. Is Greipel so good at that???
