This is jumbo. 0 questions from the journalists. Wout is God. Not one critical word or question.
Surely the French press/spectators will start loosing patience soon. It's a shame so many journalists have so much conflict of interest these days, and won't call out this blatant BS.
Don't get my wrong, it's entertaining, but it's now just ridiculous..

I have read some comments on twitter of journalists saying they wont comment on anything unless it is fact and are afraid to be blacklisted…

And that covering doping is not well paid enough…

Which to me rings even more alarm clocks about Jumbo.

because no one had problems posing the hard questions to Tadej last year.

I'm thinking how does he not run into some kind of mental exhaustion. Watching this Tour a fairly bit (not watching the entire stage in some of the days but keeping it in the background while working and catching up with some of the final parts at night) to me it seems his body and mind is always on overdrive - either attacking, working, sprinting, pulling, etc. We see every rider taking it easy sometimes, going back in the bunch, cracking some jokes, talking relaxed to others but I don't remind seeing him do that much. Neither body nor mental fatigue.
Of course he is sponsored by Redbull which could explain the energy, but I seriously dont understand how he did this tour. And he is going to add some more stage wins too…

I think it has gone to his head and he has no sense of when to turn it off now. He just keeps on going and going.

The entire belgian newspaper are full about Wout winning the tour in coming years. It is A complete joke.

To be a successful journalist in cycling, you need to be on very good terms with the riders. This is essential if you want to speak to them regularly.

This is why most of them never speak on doping, because it would be impossible for them to do their jobs well.

But last year with UAE and Tadej critical questions were asked, both in written press and even Tadejs online press conferences.

Not that we got more besides the standard answers, but I do think the 0 questions is worrying.

I understand they need to do their job, but with the history of the sport, are we now not heading back to a dark dark area if no questions are asked?

Anyone got a gif of powless shaking his head after trying to draft WVA for a kilometer or so at the beginning of yesterday's stage? Hilarious.

That was funny alright, there was another one of Jorgensen on Tuesdays stage when he shook his head as if to say wtf as Van Aert powered on in the break up the Port de Lers. When this race is over there will be an entire montage of GIFs available.

Reactions: noob
I wonder his reaction watching this at home.

Plausible scenarios to me range from calling his trainer saying they need to up their game to 'i'm not gonna bother with this anymore, let's do some mountain biking'
The funny thing is that MVDP tried to race like Wout a few times at the Giro (starting the break with a long solo, attacking the break etc) and only came out looking more human after he eventually blew up.

lol at WVA being 76 kg. the guy is 1.90m and looks like this after weeks of grueling competition
