Maybe Boom shouldn't drill it on the front when favorites and teammates are on the deck? With 95k to go? Maybe?

Bull****. Where do you draw the line? You can't make pace when Gilbert crashes but you can make pace when a helper crashes?

boom riding to ensure the chase has to work to get back on.

2nd, bmc probably didnt send anyone back early, as its easier to take pulls behind card when u havn't got anyone with you.

Dutch invested in new cameras? lots of slow mo.

Hmmmm, I dunno. Pedestrian pace until a big crash? Then Boom drills it?

You tell me? If you are listening to Eurosport Magnus just told it like it is.

Boom drilled the pace because Sagan wasn't there.

Boom drilled it because he could hurt Gilbert.

We shall see how much help Blanco gets the rest of the day. If Boom HAD a chance to win today, it's over now. My opinion.

On another note, Ruben Plaza wins the final stage and the GC at Vuelta a Castilla y León.

Rojas was, guess what, fourth again. He beat Urtasun for the group sprint.
Cheers for the spoiler.

No, he didn't. It is nice though for Blanco that, like Netserk said, it forced BMC to work. This is cycling, not some high tea with your girlfriends. Boom isn't going to win anyway. Last year at the World he was 5th and Amstel is harder than that. Doesn't stand a chance.

Did I just hear right on ES JTL to be doing it for the next 10 years? I thought he was 27, no? Unless he is the new Horner!

I'd love to see him win but he doesn't seem to find his way to the big boys, unfortunately. Kinda the curse of Dutch cycling nowadays :D

Of course Boom didn't have a chance to win. He's a pure domestique in this race, the Eijserbosweg/Keutenberg is curtains for him.

:D yeah, the great tradition in cycling is to take advantage of someone's misfortune.

Ok, I'm guessing if the big Blanco hope had been on the floor and BMC suddenly went on the attack your view might be different. Maybe not.

Maybe not indeed. Why should it matter who did it to whom?
