Would like to see Scott Thwaites do well here

So would I, but I think he's only in the team for the two likely sprinters days, where Bora will be riding for Bennett. He's not in the break today, so unless he gets in the break on the second of those days he'll be a helper.

Thwaites went briefly to the break in the beginning of the race (with Navardauskas and Sieberg, among others) but that move was quickly reeled in.

Re: XXV Playa de Palma Challenge Mallora 2016

“It was one of the best winters I have ever had,” said Bennett, sounding both motivated and relieved. “I moved to Monaco last year and I was there in the off-season, with great weather. I’ve got in some real quality training and things have been just so consistent.”

Hope he schools everyone today!

The route doesn't look too hard:

Guys like EBH, Navardauskas and Trentin should have a chance.

The descent of es Grau and Galilea could be pivotal. Both are really technical: narrow roads with tight, off-camber switchbacks. I don't think big riders like Valverde and Kwiat will take any risks so a small break might form of local riders who know the roads well and will risk a lot for what would be a really big result for them. I doubt the peloton will catch them if a breakaway has a minute or two by the time they get to Peguera.

Can Valverde even outsprint these guys? I doubt it. Same with Kwiatkowski.
Yeah, those 3 guys are my favourites for tomorrow, they should be able to survive on those climbs and they showed good form today.
