Thanks--I had some experience years ago,as I worked in composites at the local airline [Boeing technology] and I became the Vitus fixit man for the local bike shop. Alloy and carbon do not go well together--electrolytic corrosion But I would like to know what is inside these forks!

Busted Knuckle has got it right--the Campy cassette splines are different ,unlike Shimano, but a Shimano wheel can work,with a bit of juggling. Easiest way to get lower gears would be to consider a triple chainring, You will need a front deraillier[look for a cheap mountainbike one] Later...
